Evening my lockdown lovelies! Happening again, isn't it? No idea how that will transpire in my workplace, because my boss rang me in the office today to ask me to come back full-time from tomorrow because other staff are off sick, so I'm confused!
Hope you feel better soon Bubbs.
Good luck with your sausage search Denise. I don't mind the Aldi or Sainsbobs ones. Out of interest, can anyone tell my the syn values for Mr T's reduced fat pork sausages are please? (81 cals p/sausage has a rule of thumb at 4 syns, but not sure if they're less than that as it's leaner meat?)
First on plan day went like this:
B - porridge (HEB) with milk from HEA1, skinny syrup & cinnamon
L - HM tomato soup
D - Spanish chicken risotto with onions, mushrooms, carrots, broccoli & sweetcorn
Snack - alpen bar (6)
I've been meaning to make the tomato soup for ages (years!) as it's one recommended before I think on one of the old SW threads using tomatoes/beans/carrots/pickled onions/stock and it's actually really lovely. So simple too, just tipped it all in the soup maker and 20 mins later it was done. Perfect to eat in the office. I added some garlic granules, and suspect I was a bit generous, as even I could taste the fumes later on!
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

I used to make that tomato soup....the consultant kept saying it was like Heinz...which I couldn’t agree with but it was a nice tomato soup. Might have to have a go myself 👍January spends - £587.582

It's not Heinz cream of tomato, but for a healthy tomato soup it is actually very nice, and it was the simplicity of making it too that swung it for me. Not going to lie, I'm a lazy cook nowadays.One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

@joedenise thanks for the welcome
Yes I live with my mum so it's shared meals which is always helpful! I may try some SP days actually, I used to get on ok with them if it was just the one, any longer and I just didn't see any extra benefits and like you I was huungry!
@maman oh my mum definitely put on during first lockdown too! The real difference for us when we got to August, she sort of went back to being mostly on plan, but I could see my boyfriend again so we were having take away (no take away places deliver where I am), and we were cooking, and it was lovely, and I don't mind that I put the weight back on, the last year has been a weird one for everyone.
Todays meals...
Breakfast - B + 1Syn weetabix made with hot water and splash of milk + sugar
Lunch - 4.5 Syns - curried parsnip soup - home made - slight syns as they were leftover honey roast parsnips I'm making an educated guess based on aunt bessies syns
Dinner - Pizza topped chicken and chips and salad
Snacks - 4.5 syns - 3 percy pig sweets & some fresh cranberries
HE A 1 - milk - this is the standard every day! I survive on tea! Todays was Breakfast, Earl Grey, and Blackforest
HE A 2 - cheese on dinner
Today was rather light on speed,there would usually be more at lunch but the parsnips needed eating up.
x
I hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
even when it feels like your not....2 -
Thanks denise I think they’re the 50% ones. I cannot get hold of bgty ones in sainsbobs or the skinny ones in lidl any time I go in there, so stuck with MrT ones for now, as they’re my only local stores.Plan today:
b - porridge HEB, splash milk from HEA1 water & skinny syrup
L - L/O pasta bolognese, Parmesan HEA2
D - sausages, mash, mixed veg: carrots/broccoli/peas/cauliflower, gravy (3)
snack: banana
Glad I have a plan today as I am back working f/t today - no idea if the lockdown will change that or not. As some of you may recall last year our boss was against any measures to protect us from covid, and I ended up catching it just as we locked down in March. We shall see today if he will lock us down or not.Have a good day everyone and stay safe.One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Morning everyone! Even my DH loves the BGTY sausages denise, and actually prefers the taste of them to "normal" sausages. Might have to pick some up at the weekend after all this sausage talk! Last night DH opened the M&S biscuits that I bought before Christmas and I'm proud to say I didn't touch them! Hope the willpower can hold out through lockdown 3.0
Had porridge for breakfast with a banana, lunch is going to be mushroom soup and dinner is some leftover prawns in black bean sauce from the freezer. Not an exciting day food wise but at least it's on plan.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20172 -
