Hi, could I join you please
I did used to go to a group so for the most part I know the regime, getting back into the swing of things might be trickier...
Our consultant was leaving in March, and then the pandemic hit, and long story short, there was no replacement, so our group was disbanded and the alternative for us were at schools, but as a shielding household that just didn't seem wise, so we've not returned.
We are going to be doing rebel club on zoom with family - I've even ordered stickers! But that wasn't enough of an incentive for me when we tried it in Sept when we could briefly meet... So I'm hoping reporting here too will help keep me on track
The goal is to get back to about a size 14 by July! Just in case we can go on holiday this year and need to get back into my wetsuit... That's about where I was in March last year at about 2 and a half to 3 stone off. I'm practically back at my start weight nowbut in theory it should be easier the food in the house is usually on plan stuff (ignoring the leftover Christmas bits) as my mum does it too, she is 8 stone down thanks to SW, and my boyfriend is in Tier 4 so I'm not going to be having off plan weekends like I do when I can see him, so there's a silver lining for you, haha!
xI hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
even when it feels like your not....2 -
Welcome to the thread pixtott. You obviously know what you need to do so hopefully posting on here will help keep you accountable. It's certainly doable to lose 2.5 stone in 6 months or so if you stick to plan. Do you live at home and mum cook your meals? It helps that your mum does SW too.
If you think it would help you feel free to post your menu plans on here just in case we can spot anything which has crept in which you haven't noticed - it's easily done!
If you are able to cope with SP days it might help give you a bit of a boost to your weight loss. Personally I can't do it as I find I'm always hungry without carbs!
Today's plan is a Green day:
B - baked oats; mixed frozen exotic fruit; quark - HEB; P; S; F
L - well dressed jacket potato (from the new Fresh Start booklet); salad - HEA2; P; S; F
D - vegetable curry; rice - P; S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - oats
Syns - teacake (the last one finally!) 4
Have a good day everyone.

Happy New Year everyone! Thanks for starting the new thread maman. If we want to do a challenge like the old threads, I'm offering up my services to keep a spreadsheet updated.
Hope everyone had a good festive period despite all the restrictions. It was my first Christmas off in about 16 years and DH ended up working for once so I just snuggled on the sofa with all the snacks. Consequently I've put almost 7lbs on over the last 2 weeks. Not going to beat myself up over it, there are worst things that could have happened! Yes we still have chocolate in the house but having it in moderation over the next week weeks or even months is not going to do too much damage.
Also slacked off on the exercise as my ankle flared up again - I've realised it's probably to do a little bit with the trainers I've been wearing for my workouts (they really aren't designed for anything other than a walk to the shops ) so I treated myself in the sales to some specifically for HIIT so we'll see how they are today. Breakfast was good old porridge with frozen raspberries, lunch will be a bit picky as using up some red pepper hummus with some carrot sticks, a couple of chunks of leftover gammon and maybe a boiled egg too. Dinner is stuffed pasta shells with a HM tomato and roasted pepper sauce. Still not listing out all my syns, HE's etc. as it makes me too obsessive. I'm still weighing everything and know my limits so here's hoping I can shift some of this extra weight.
My goal for this year isn't to lose weight, it's to be consistent with my eating and exercise. The weight loss will just be a result of the process
Hope you're all staying safe, I'm off to go wade through my emails again...Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20171 -
Good to see you back ruby. Must have been so good to have Christmas off for the first time in a very long time! I'm sure you'll soon shift that weight with the good eating and exercise.

milann I'm on my windows laptop now. So I'll try posting the monthly colouring thing again:

Hopefully it works for you now. I actually found that the link on my previous post (which was on my MacBook) worked on here when I clicked on it. If it doesn't work it perhaps it's something to do with your settings.
I wouldn't recommend the 'well dressed' jacket from the Fresh Start booklet - it was really claggy and not particularly cheesy! Neither DH nor I ate much of it. Ate my chocolate teacake afterwards as I was still hungry!

Thanks JD it still didn’t work so must be something to do with my iPad settings. Thanks anywayI’ve text my consultant for a 12 week countdown- just waiting for her to reply.Breakfast - mushroom and tomato omelette (dh brought me a crumpet with cheese for breakfast in bed before he went to work....I said thanks but no thanks😇)
Dinner -heb wholemeal toast (no butter) baked beans with a tomato chopped into them
Tea - chicken, tomato, onion, garlic and leek pasta bake with hea cheese on top
snacks - satsumas
Ive been filling my journal in and made a graph for inside my wardrobe door. I can do a stone in 3 months 👍👍 maybe a little more 😄😄January spends - £587.582 -
Welcome pixtotts. Good to have you on the thread. Do you think it was the shielding or lack of group, or what that made you put the weight back on? I was thinking that as your mum is doing so well perhaps you were buying snacks? It's good to know our triggers. 🤔
I'm starting back properly today ruby. I finished the last 2 cherry liqueurs last night. 😉 Thanks for offering to do a challenge. Personally I don't weigh at home so wouldn't be involved but others might find it helpful.
Today's Body Magic was taking down the decorations and packing them all away! It's quite cathartic, feels like a fresh start. I'm going to try to be really good tonight but just heard that Boris is meant to be speaking to the nation at 8 p.m. which is exactly when my team kicks off against Liverpool! How I'll cope with either of those without a stiff drink goodness knows! 🤣
You sound super motivated milann. Refusing that crumpet was amazing. 😇
Were having sausage casserole tonight, lovely comfort food with bacon, sausages and baked beans. It does have an onion in the recipe but I'll be adding carrots, mushrooms, courgettes and probably a handful of sliced leeks too to make it SW friendly.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), HEB toast, fried eggs (P), mushrooms and tomatoes (S), HEA milk
L- ham (P), 1 potato (F), fried LO veg and beetroot (S)
D- sausage casserole (F,S), tagliatelle (F)
Syns- Aldi sausages 12 -
You're making me hungry maman! My butcher still hasn't made the low fat sausages and unlikely to be able to until Wednesday now! Really annoying as I'd planned on sausage and onion sandwich for lunch tomorrow! So it's either going to be burger & onions in a WM roll or I'll make some carrot & lentil soup with the last of the carrots! Will see what we fancy in the morning. I hate it when I have to change the plan!!!

I know you prefer to have the same meal as your DH denise, but you could have a LM sandwich and your DH could have something else. My DH loves the bratwurst from Lidl or frankfurters. Just an idea for another time. 🤔 Probably best to buy loads of your butcher's sausages when he has them and freeze. I've got loads in as I got some YS from Sainsburys. Which reminds me I need to add an extra syn for BGTY sausages. 😉2

I do buy loads at a time and freeze maman - minimum 2 dozen but usually 3 dozen! When I spoke to him today he said they don't actually sell many of them, I've no idea why because his normal sausages aren't particularly nice, neither DH nor I liked them when we had them at the weekend and didn't even eat both of them that we had on our plates! Problem is they're £1 a lb dearer than his normal ones so quite expensive at £4 a lb!
I've though about doing LM for me and then DH can have fish finger which I don't like, yuk! I'll see how we feel in the morning!
