Just wondering whether to call her this week or leave it until I need to weigh again which isn't until early February. Decisions, decisions!
I'm getting my eggs at Morrisons at the moment - free range, large eggs @ £2 a dozen which I don't think is bad at all - have to buy them in full dozens though or they get charged at 20p each so a bit dearer. I bought 2 dozen on Thursday and pretty sure I'm going to need to buy more when I go shopping on Tuesday!
We won't be buying the full fat sausages from the butchers if they haven't got any low fat ones in future because not only are they much fattier they also don't taste very nice. DH and I didn't even eat 2 each - just 1.5, still at least it saved me a couple of syns!!! Decided we'd rather just have something else for breakfast if we can't get the low fat ones. Have tried various low syn SM ones and although I don't mind some of them DH doesn't like them. I'd happily have Linda Mc Red Onion and Rosemary ones but DH really doesn't like them, he tolerates them when I do scotch eggs but that's about it!

Afternoon allMy consultant has just texted to let us know because we are now in teir 3 she will only be doing weigh and go sessions in the morning followed by a zoom meeting afterwards. This will throw me a little out of whack as I don't do the zoom meetings and I get weighed on a Wednesday after a Tuesday night shift. I used to get weighed at 2pm so could have a bit of a sleep so now I have to stay up after a night shift to go to the earliest weigh in at 8am. I guess I'll have to make do as I've already extended my countdown by 12 weeks. I do kind of begrudge paying to just go and get weighed I could do that at home for free. I am just trying to keep in mind its not forever (hopefully
)
Meal wise today Breakfast was scrambled eggs and toast with a bowl of fruit, lunch is going to be chicken, cous cous and mixed veg not sure what I'm having for tea yet It will be a joint of some sort I just haven't decided which meat I fancy .:AWhatever it is - I didn't do it!:A0 -
Yes decisions , decisions Denise!

I think it's best for me to continue to go and weigh as I know i wouldn't do it at home but I know what you mean about paying for the count down and not getting full use of it. It's a shame about your work pattern making it difficult for you. Like you said it can't carry on forever.

We are T4 😫
I have physically not been to group since March!!
I do miss group as you get lots of good ideas and see different people.
At least if you weigh and go you are still accountable, but i agree i would not be happy paying for the privilege
Cooking marathon this mornings, i am on it!!
Chunky speedy soup
Waffles , 1 row is hexb
Crustless quiche, syn free , 1 hexa

It's difficult to say what I'd do if I wasn't already a target member, probably take all the help I can get!! 🤣 I did pay for a couple of weeks following lockdown but my consultant did do a socially distanced group meeting as well as continuing with Zoom for anyone shielding or not feeling comfortable. Considering that being overweight is a risk factor that exacerbates many health issues then I think SW should be doing everything possible to support members.
I know I'd definitely stick with the thread though. The support on here is ongoing regardless of tiers or lockdown. 😊
That's good news about the new group denise. If you like it then Friday is a great WI day. You'd still have the option of going to WI at your old group if you wanted to go away early for the weekend and you're in town anyway . I often go to other groups if I'm busy on a Thursday. Occasionally I stay but generally weigh and go. I think I'd wait to join until you've seen off any Christmas gains though.
I'm feeling very stressed today. My DD1 is a teacher and there seems no logic (and no government explanation) why London schools are closed tomorrow but we're not, although in the same tier. I'm worried about the Covid risk but more worried about her being under stress because of all the uncertainty. I won't let it make me comfort eat though. 😉
Today's EE plan -
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), scrambled eggs (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- sardines (P), beetroot (S), lentil and veg soup (P, S)
D- roast beef (P), SW roast potatoes (F), broccoli, cauliflower, swede and carrot mash, red cabbage, green cabbage (S)
Syns - HP sauce 1, horseradish 1, gravy 4?, weekend wine.... and last 2 Christmas chocolates! 🤣

There really doesn't seem to be any reason behind any of it we are in tier 3 and my nephews secondary school is closed (except keyworker children and vulnerable children) until 18th Jan at the earliest, however another area in our region also tier 3 they are back on Tuesday (teacher training day Monday). I would not be surprised if it was done by lucky dip.:AWhatever it is - I didn't do it!:A0

Thanks maman. I'm still in target just so if I phone her this week and she thinks I should weigh immediately then I may well do that as it's still weighing at home anyway as I don't do Zoom and being Tier 4 groups aren't going to be happening for a while yet I wouldn't think, not with the way the rate is rising! I don't think I'd join her group until after my consultant officially leaves anyway.
I'm only about half pound heavier than I was on Christmas Eve so it wouldn't really be a problem. I just seem to be struggling to lose anything. I've tried being good and sticking to the less than 15 syns a day, doing the 105 syn bank as usual and even had a really naughty week (last week) and still it didn't move much on my scales - about 0.2lb which actually leaves me with another STS. It's very frustrating! The only thing I haven't done is SP but I struggle with that anyway as I always feel hungry and end up snacking all the time, I know it's only fruit but it's still sugar!
Been busy this morning in the kitchen. Portioned up the oxtail stew and frozen it - 2 x 2 large portions so should be enough for an evening meal with mash and enough for lunch the next day with a jacket. Also portioned up the fish pie with celeriac and butterbean mash - it was OK but think it needs far less stock than the recipe says as it was very wet even though I'd thickened it before topping with the mash. Still it's another 2 x 2 portions in the freezer.
You get through even more eggs than I do bubbs! Although I'd probably use more if DH wasn't so fussy about eggs - he'll eat them boiled or fried without moaning but scrambled he'll eat sometimes but other times he'll say you have scrambled on toast and I'll have fried egg sandwich! It's probably one of the only times we have different meals! Omelettes he doesn't mind now and again but isn't keen.
I don't do scotch eggs very often either because he's not keen on them - no idea why there's nothing in them that he doesn't eat anyway! A quiche, absolutely once in a blue moon!
But even with that fussiness we still get through 2-3 dozen a week! It's a good job I don't bake cakes or we'd be using loads more because he'd definitely eat those!!!
Jax that seems really unfair. Do you do permanent nights or are you on shift work? There is an option where you can be marked as a shift worker so that you don't have to pay every week. My friend used to do shift work and only paid on the weeks when she could actually get to group, although for her it was usually alternate weeks. Might be worth discussing with your consultant to at least only weigh alternate weeks which would double the time of your Countdown. Certainly worth asking.
Cor, that was a bit of an essay!

Maman it is a worry i agree
like Jax says it makes no sense
Denise DH probably has 4 eggs a week, i can have that plus more a day 🤣
I was also busy in the kitchen this morning, just put veg on for tea 😋 since we had the gas leak and he temp fixed it, gas seems to be coming out slower, veg took ages NYD 🙄 wonder if they will ring me tomorrow with a date?Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance:0 -
Denise I probably could do the shift worker thing as I work every Tuesday night and once this tier/lockdown/restrictions mess is all over I might consider it. At the moment though, going to Slimming World is something I do with my mum each week that's just us (without my dad) we go slimming and go for a walk afterwards (or a coffee when we are not in tier 3
)and have a chat just gives my mum a bit of respite and someone else to talk to other than my dad. Before lockdown she was out with friends nearly every other day but all of her activities were basically taken away overnight.
:AWhatever it is - I didn't do it!:A3
