Sorry Katie we must have cross-posted!  Welcome to the new thread.

As bubbs has said if you need to know anything just ask - there's usually someone around who can help with things like syn values or even recipes.

If you think it would help feel free to post your daily plan.  A few of us do as we find it helps to keep us accountable.

TIE I've tried copying over the recipes from the old thread but unfortunately the links don't work - I assume because the thread's a few years old.

Will have to see if I can find a later link than the 2018 thread!

Thank you for welcoming me. That's a good idea to post a daily plan.

Good to see you posting katie, glad you found us. ☺️

I think planning and Speed food are the 2 most important things for SW.

Do you have much in that needs using up? I'd suggest you do what you can with whatever you've got in and then write a meal plan and a shopping list to go with it. It's tempting to say start on Monday but I'd hate to have Monday as a WI day. Thursday suits me as that is my group day but if I could choose I'd go for Friday morning. That would give me maximum time to sort myself out after the weekend. 😉🤣

Me too maman but unfortunately the only morning groups are Thursday in my nearest town or Wednesday in the town in the opposite direction but nearly twice as far!

I usually buy mine frozen in Tesco's.  They come in a 250g tub.  Having said that I couldn't get any before Christmas when I wanted some.  Had planned on making chicken liver pate for starter on Christmas Day but of course that had to change.

I asked my butcher last year if he had any and the only way they sold them was in a 2 Kg plastic box!  I certainly didn't want that many, particularly frozen!

Not sure if you eat fish but if you do you could always make a salmon pate or a mixed tuna and salmon pate.  You could even make a sort of bean pate!

What about things like hummus or falafel?  I often make falafel, I base it on the recipe by Tori Avery - just avoid all the oil! - they are great in a pitta or just with some salad or as a snack.

What sort of things are you looking to make and I'll see if I've got any recipes.  I've got loads of cookery books and magazines plus my folders of recipes!
