    Afternoon all

I didn't end up having anything for tea last night, I sat on the sofa at 7:30 pm as the oven was preheating and could feel myself dropping off so turned off the oven and went to bed woke up at 7am this morning so obviously needed a good sleep. This morning I had bacon eggs and toast did a bit of housework and ironing (the excitement of my life) then went back to bed for a bit as I'm on a night shift tonight. Got up and had a bowl of super speed soup and prepped a chicken salad for work later.

Woke up to everyone on Facebook predicting lockdown 3 as well. I guess we'll have to wait and see what Boris says. To be fair (and very selfish) lockdowns don't really change my life that much as I don't do anything or go anywhere and as an essential worker I still go to work so don't notice much of a difference. The thing that will annoy me is if they do the same with slimming world as they did with lockdown 2 which meant you couldn't freeze your membership (and save your countdown weeks) as I don't do zoom I would literally be paying for nothing 😕

    Afternoon all

    Welcome pixott.
Jax, that is very unfair and i can;t see them freezing it when they didn't last time, and if they don;t they will loose even more people!

My day didn't go as planned, friend rang me and said are you free? Me yes why? well we have some stuff to collect for the refuge 😂normally i would collect and drop off but this was collected for all the flood victims near by but they had now all had what they wanted so we could take for the refuge. I said that's fine but i can;t lift because of my arm and shoulder. That's ok she says i will lift it. So off we go, we rammed both cars FULL, we have to go back tomorrow for the next 2 loads!
I had omeltte for brekkie, soup x 2 bowls for lunch, liver, sausage and onions for tea with veg 😋 no pic of the soup, it's what i made yesterday

Also spoke to the doctor today, they are upping my tablets saying it's an arthritis flare up because of the cold and it is freezing out today.

Your dinner always makes me hungry bubbs, the onion gravy looks yummy
😋 Hope the medication does the trick. ☺️

Those sausages do sound really expensive denise. BGTY are much cheaper and Aldi moreso but you have to like them or it's a waste of money. 🤔

I've put some beef stew on to cook for my lunch as I had LO beef from yesterday. Much better than just picking  it because it's there. I've also got enough for more stew and a midweek dinner. Makes a beef joint very mse. 😇
  • Had one of those days when I couldn’t decide what to have for dinner. Was supposed to have class, but it was changed to tomorrow, so was going to have some of the stew I made, then needed to check the date on some mince I had bought, if necessary, was going to make cheeseburger pasta, but suddenly fancied having a cooked breakfast, which is what I had, was yum, turkey rashers, tomatoes, mushrooms, beans, cheese triangles on toast, coffee, Bubbs, you would have enjoyed, but I did it for you!
A smile costs little but creates much :)

Thanks Maman , hope so too my arm feels cold to the bone 😫 Think them sausage are about the same price as my butchers, i never ask the price just for £10's worth😂 which is usually 12-13 sausage but they are big 😋
GTQ, longs you take the coffee away, it's the devils drink 😂

bubbs I don't believe it!  you as well with the sausages, LOL!  Yes maman they are very expensive but very nice.  Maybe I'll have to get DH to take me to Sainsbury so we can try the BGTY ones.  I've tried the Aldi ones and wasn't impressed to be honest.  Perhaps we've been spoilt with the butcher's ones!

Have had the veg curry for dinner but to be honest should have cooked the veg a bit longer (it had well over an hour but some of it was still a bit hard!) left it on for 3/4 hour after we'd eaten so that it's finally cooked and now waiting for it to cool down so that I can portion up the extra to go in the freezer.  Probably enough for another meal plus a lunch each left so more meals into the freezer.  It doesn't seem to matter how much I take out there is always more to go in!

Jax I agree they should freeze countdowns like they did in March.  You shouldn't be forced to pay for something that you're not getting.  I think if I was still getting to target I'd go it alone, with the help of this thread, rather than paying nearly £6 a week and not getting anything in return other than the use of the app and website!

Evening all, it’s all happening again isn’t it? Would you believe we opened today only to close tomorrow for emergency inset (and whatever Boris has planned).
My first day without his nibs was 1 great 🤗 2 boring 🥱. Spent morning observing a challenging child (sigh) although my boss came past and said he’s not 1-1 so no idea what I’m doing 🤷🏼‍♀️. Afternoon spent sorting (binning 🥴) his nibs paperwork plus passing bits to new SENDCO to file (bin). So tomorrow was expecting similar but now will be meetings and planning! Then probably keyworkers & vulnerable if Boris locks us down!

Anyway apart from that I am getting back on the wagon and am fessing up to having piled on a STONE since March 🥺. Only myself to blame cos I control what goes in my gob 😈. Hubby hasn’t helped by baking plus my health issues and menopause 🥺. (Still waiting on biopsy results 🤷🏼‍♀️J
    So today has been
B - porridge made with water plus a coffee
L - nothing as had stomach ache all day 🥺
T - baked spud, beans, roast beef leftovers, plus 9g of butter (syns please?)
    HA milk
    HB porridge
    Syns - ?
Also had a travel mug of coffee on go all day, finished at home 🤣
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Denise I agree and probably would have gone it alone however I've got 9 weeks left on my current countdown and extended it by 12 weeks to get the lower price :/ if I had known then what I know now hey. :D

    10g butter is 3.5 syns tie. 😋

I'm relieved that DD1's school is closed to all but vulnerable children from tomorrow afternoon although could be sooner. Majority of staff said situation was unsafe and head agreed. Boris was trying to be like Canute but don't think it worked.

P.S. To be boring, Canute really meant to show that he wasn't all powerful and the tide wouldn't stop for him.
