I agree that it's bad form on behalf of your consultant bubbs. All sweetness and light when they need a social team though  :)
I've been to a few groups depending on my work pattern and have always found a certain element of cliquey-ness. The last group I attended I was part of a 10 person social team, but it was always me putting the heavy stuff in the consultants vehicle at 8.30pm as everyone else had somewhere to be (usually a cheeky takeaway en route home). I used to eat after club which made it a really late night. When I suggested we had a rota so maybe I could leave at a decent time once in a while I got a barrage of abuse from one of the team, hence stopping going. Ah well, I seem to be doing okay with you lovely lot!
    Food today:
B -  WM Nimble toast, jam, satsumas HEXB/1 syn
    L - jacket potato, veg chilli, cheese 1 syn/HEXA1
D - SW Chicken supreme and rice
    HEXA2 - milk for tea/coffee
Snacks - Apple, banana, A!pen light bar 3
    Syns - 5
    Have a good day all,

Morning all!  Sorry to hear about your rubbish sounding consultant bubbs.  The least she could do was ask someone on the social team to post on her behalf to update everyone, or hand over moderator duties for the FB group to one of them.

Have an assessment day at work today for our department so just popping in quickly to post my food for today:
    B - overnight oats
L - roasted vegetable cous cous
D - a cheats Korean fish stew (cod, kimchi, courgette, rice)

Hope everyone has a good day!

Well judging by the comments on our Facebook page I seem to be doing better than a lot of the ones posting on there!  They all seem to be struggling and dreading WI!  I definitely won't be going back like I did before, it's going to be once every 6 or so weeks just to keep access to the website as I find it useful for looking up syns of anything new and also for the basis of some new recipes - I don't to stick to them completely as they are usually much too watery/saucy for me!

Will be going shopping this afternoon as DH has a optician's appointment so I'll do that while he's in there - should mean that the shopping list gets stuck to rather than having this and that thrown in!

    Today's plan:

    B - scrambled eggs and spinach on toast - HEB; P; S
    L - LO veg pilau; roast mini potatoes - S; F
    D - LO roast beef; chips; beans; mushrooms; tomatoes - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - none planned

    Morning all,

I have never been to a group and no intentions of going. From what I have heard from friends that did go before lockdown. It was like a Jeremy kyle show and I’m not about that. I also know that one sw consultant openly didn’t do the diet herself. She had lost weight doing it years ago but now actively does not follow the plan. How can you preach to others?

Any way I am quite happy using the app for weigh ins and inspiration and also that’s why I come on here. Ideas and will power.

I feel like yesterday’s announcements should make me go a bit harder but im quite happy with the pace the scales are heading in the right direction. Slowly but surely. I sent my friend a picture that another friend had put kindly on a picture tile for all of us, I said do I look like I have lost weight from when that was taken (approx. Jan 2020) she said she definitely can see a difference and I know myself that the coat in the picture is too big so that’s good.

I boiled the water last night and forgot to put the rice in so the curry ended up being with half a portion of dry egg noodles as they cook faster alongside the crispy kale. It was very nice.  It is the leftovers tonight. Lunch is chicken salad.

I went out myself for a walk last night and managed to do 3.5 miles, sorted a few bits in the garden and hoovered downstairs all by 6.15. sooo much quicker than when I go with a friend, shes more of a talker than a walker.

the tablets are for me being anaemic

I've been out to the outside freezer and just gone through it and done an inventory so I'll be aiming to use up a lot of what is in there next month so that I can defrost it easily.  Won't be able to use everything in there as there is a lot of wraps, pittas and naan breads, none of which we use very often!  No idea why there are as many can only think it's been when DH has done the shopping and thought we needed them!

Not as much meat as I thought there was so looks like I'll need to do a butcher's shop at some time next month.  The only meat I've seem to have out there is chicken thighs, burgers and a couple of joints plus a few HM ready meals.  Will certainly make it easier to use up as much as I can.

Meant to say bubbs I could never do calorie counting - I can't be bothered with the weighing and measuring everything.  At least we don't have to do very much of that with SW!

I agree that it's the simplicity of SW and the fact that it's proper meals and proper food that convinces me. When you think about it, its common sense really. Most people know that a balanced meal is some lean protein, plenty of fruit and veg and some carbs and that treats shouldn't be a regular thing. SW just gives an easy formula to follow with the third of each main food group  and a set number of syns for treats.  I'd soon give up if I had to be weighing and measuring all the time or live on milk shakes or ready meals.

I think we're doing well too klew. That's a NSV (Non Scale Victory) for your coat to be looser now than at the start of the lockdowns. Well done. Many people couldn't say that.

I tell DH it's against the law for him to come shopping at the moment denise! He wouldn't normally think of coming but he decided he would when the first lockdown started to protect me!! Fortunately Aldi were being very strict at the time (person on the door, not traffic lights) and he ended up waiting in the car! 😁

It's a glorious day here, mild and sunny. My car has gone in for a routine service so we both decided to take it in and walk home, almost 9000 steps.  So plenty of Body Magic in today. 😁

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, baked beans (F), bacon, fried egg (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- JP (F), cottage cheese, pickles (P), veggie chilli (P,S)
D- baked haddock (P), mash, mushy peas (F), broccoli, tomato, mushrooms (S)
    Syns- 0

Great to hear from you beanie. We're still plodding along. 🤣 I don't think anyone eats HiFis. Benefit bars from Aldi or Alpen Lights (generally on offer somewhere for £1) are better value. Just ask if you want any syn values. Well done for getting back to it. 👏👏👏
