Morning all. A bit overcast this morning and not much wind but doing a machine load of washing anyway. I'm sure it'll dry - just take a bit longer!
Don't know what made me think about it but I've noticed that since I've been hovering around top end of target and losing and gaining the same lb I've been using my 2nd HEA more often - about half the days each month! So from next month I'm going to try to avoid using the 2nd HEA as often and see if it does make a difference! When you think about it previously it would have been an extra 6 syns on top of the allowed 15 we had prior to the 2nd one being introduced. What do you think?
Anyway today is a Green day but actually no HEB planned:
B - fried up LO roast potatoes; eggs; beans; tomatoes; mushrooms - P; S; F
L - hash brown pizza - potatoes, onions, peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, mozzarella - HEA2; S; F
D - vegetable rice with roasted butternut squash - rice, onions, peppers, mushrooms, butternut squash - S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - mozzarella
HEB1 & 2 - none planned
Have a good day and keep safe everyone.

Good morning all,
Scales were registering 2 on! Im not surprised though, first full week on the ferrous 3 times a day and im suffering with a few of the side effects! However I had a fairly relaxed weekend and im back on it today, which I am going to carry on into the weekend. Did a 7 mile walk on Saturday and a 4 mile weekend yesterday so there has been plenty of exercise had. On the menu this week is plenty veg! tonight is chicken curry rice and crispy kale – looking forward to that already!

Morning all! So many lovely food posts - I usually just throw stuff on the plate but if I can make it look decent then I might post some picture this week! Happy to report a 1lb loss this wee which I think is literally down to the last 2 days 😂 I may have eaten 4 massive chocolate chip cookies on Friday night for no reason whatsoever. Gave myself a talking to on Saturday and it seemed to have worked. Feeling a bit more positive and hopefully I can get another loss this week.
I made a massive batch of overnight oats to last me for breakfasts this week using some reduced ff skyr and almond milk and topped with raspberries and cinnamon. Lunch today is more roasted vegetable cous cous as I didn't eat it all last week (trying to be MSE!) and dinner tonight is a vegetable dhansak curry using a Jack Monroe recipe which uses reduced stir fry veg in it but I'm just chucking in the extra veg leftover from last week such as a courgette, pepper and carrots. Will serve with pilau rice and will probably have enough leftover for some freezer meals in future.

Well don on your loss ruby and being very mse. 😉
Is that a medication you're taking klew? I know some medications can be a struggle with weightloss.
That's a good point about the HEAs denise. I definitely have more cheese than previously. I do limit what I buy to Primula, parmesan and some frozen grated cheese. I know if I started buying blocks I'd be having it every day. It's certainly something to keep an eye on.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), HEB toast, HEA milk, fried eggs (P), tomatoes and mushrooms (S)
L- ham (P), LO veg and pickles (S)
D- sausage casserole (P,S,F) with tagliatelle (F)
Syns- sausages 2, cornflour for sauce 13 -
Hi everyone,
Hope you're all doing okay. I'm back to WFH today after a couple of day's leave. Managed a 3k run this morning.
You could be on to something there denise with the second HEXA - will be interesting to see what happens if you skip it for a while. Well done on the loss rubyChoc chip cookies - oh how I miss them
klew - that's a lot of walking considering you don't feel 100%, well done
Today's food:
B - puffed wheat, skimmed milk - HEXB/HEXA1
L - salad leaves, tomatoes, mini babybel, couscous (1) Change of plan as have found leftover Spanish Chicken in the fridge and it needs using up - 4 syns as contains chorizo. As a result, will lose the biscuits from later.
D - family are having macaroni and cheese, so I'm going to try the A!di Slimwell paella for 1 syn
Snacks - grapes, apple, 2 caramelised biscuits (4)
HEXA2 - mini babybel light
Syns - 5
Have a great day everyone.

Well done on the loss ruby, especially after the choc chip cookies! Well done klew on all that bod magic.
Thanks maman and Coxy for your support. I'm a bit like you maman I buy mainly Primula although there is always a block of cheese in the fridge and I only really use that when I make Welsh rarebit although at the moment I'm using a bag of ready grated that I bought a few weeks ago but it doesn't seem to go as far as when I grate the block as I always use the small grater and the ready grated is large grate! Parmasan I keep in the freezer and grate from frozen.
I won't be giving up cheese completely Coxy just not using it as often - this month for example I've used the 2nd HEA 12 days out of 28 so nearly half. Going to try and cut that back next month to single figures! I still want to be able to have Welsh rarebit and pizza occasionally!

Went off track yesterday, still today is another a day, draw a line and start again
I've done some batch cooking of my pitta bread 'quesadillas' to put in the freezer. I'm loving these
I did also buy some sandwich 'thins' but they seem a bit pointless, so I'll just put them in the freezer for emergencies.
Would someone be able to tell me what the syns are for Aldi light mayo, please?
Food today
B: Didn't feel like any today
L: Veg soup and Ham, onion, mayo, cheese in a sandwich thin
T: Sweetcorn chilli, rice & salad1 -
Frankie the Aldi light mayo is 2 syns per Tbs. If you buy the Lighter than Light one it's only 0.5 syns per Tbs that's why I always buy the LTL one!
Agree with you about the sandwich thins! They are completely pointless, there's nothing of them.

joedenise Thanks
I really prefer full fat mayo so giving the light a go. I guess if I need the syns in the future then I can drop down to LTL but I'm not sure I could do it to myself at the moment

Which brand is the LTL mayo denise? It's not something I buy often but worth knowing for the future.
Good idea to batch cook the quesadillas now you know you like them Frankie. The more SW friendly things you have in to stop you going off plan the better. 😊
I checked back and, like you, I've used my second HEA about half the days in the last month denise. That's mostly for garlic mushrooms and creamy cabbage and Parmesan on Bolognese. I'm not going to stop yet but it's something to tweak if I need to lose after lockdown. I don't think the PM is going to open up indoor meetings any time soon so that may be some way off. 😉🤔1
