Thanks for the heads up on the Frylight bubbs. I've still got some in store from when they were £1 in Lidl but will stock up. It's £2 in Tesco and £2.30 in Sainsbury's. Daylight robbery!! 🤣

I heard about the Mersey rising on the news  milann so I looked up the course. I'd never realised it flows near Greater Manchester as it's always associated with Liverpool. 🤔

Is the puppy coffee liqueur  coloured jax? 😉 I really don't see the point of you going into work if there's nothing to do that you can't do from home ruby. All that stress, increased risk  and an unnecessary journey. 🤔

Did you take the salmon somewhere to have it smoked denise? I've got some YS in the freezer portioned in snack packs for me as DH doesn't like it.  When I feel really slim sometime I'll have it with some Melba toasts and I like a bit of horseradish with it. 😋 Another full syn bank from today.😁 Did you weigh?

Nothing wrong with having a treat at weekends klew if you've got some syns for it. I'd be really miserable without my weekend treats. They've been a real godsend during all the lockdowns as it's something to look forward to.

I had enough chicken casserole left for two lunches so I'm set up for tomorrow as well. I always make the recipe for 4 but with meat for two and then add extra Speed. I obviously excelled myself this time. 😇

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash, skinny syrup, banana (F), HEB porridge with HEA1 milk
    L- chicken(less) casserole  (P,S,F), pickled cabbage (S)
    D- SW Bolognese (P,S), tagliatelle (F), HEA2 Parmesan
    Syns- 0

maman no DH smoked the salmon himself.  He bought himself a smoking kit for the BBQ.  We're planning on smoked salmon, melba toasts and horseradish for starter this evening!

I didn't weigh this morning.  It was clean jeans day and they were very tight when I did them up so just thought - at least top end of target or even out of it so s*d it :).

Right off to do the starter as dinner shouldn't be too long!

Maman the source of the Mersey is in my home town. The feeder rivers which merge to form it were both very swollen too so it’s been high right from the start of its journey to Liverpool 😳 The area where Boris was at the sluice gates on TV is a beautiful wildlife area and lake which I often walk around. The water from the sluice goes onto fields and golf courses so I dread to think of the mess if the gates weren’t there. The river is only a 2 minute walk from my house but down in a valley so all is well near me. I hope I haven’t tempted fate. 😏
I stayed in my syns today - I had an extra pitta bread than I’d planned but still well within syns 👍

Windy but dry here today too.  I went out into the garden at lunchtime to check all was okay, and the greenhouse is still all intact glazing wise (the wind can make the panes shift and drop), and only a garden chair had fallen over.

    Today's plan:
B -  porridge HEB, milk from HEA1, water & skinny syrup
    L -   HM tomato soup & crackers (6)
    snack - SF jelly (0.5), strawberries & yogurt (1)
D -   Omelette, peppers, bacon, onions, tomatoes, cheese HEA2, ketchup (1)

Really enjoyed dinner.  It was my night off from cooking, which basically means I don't do dinner for OH and me.  He had LO pasta from last night as we don't have any ping meals left that he likes.  He doesn't really like eggs (unless in a fry up), so it's only when I'm cooking for myself that I tend to have them.

Looking forward to our KFC tomorrow night  along with the rest of you.  And I've made up another big bowl of sugar free jelly so I have something there for snacks too.  *polishes halo*

    Morning all

Planning on going out earlyish to do the shopping this morning so that the shops are quieter.  Haven't got an Asda near me so I'll have to wait until Frylight is on offer closer to home!  I'm not a fan of the butter one bubbs, definitely nothing like butter!

I'm letting the side down today - no KFC for us!

    Today's plan:

    B - marmite on toast - HEB; F; 3.5
    L - leek and barley soup - P; S; F
D - fish & chips, peas - P; F; 3 - although if I can't get some nice fish fillets when I'm shopping it'll be something with salmon instead but not sure what

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - breadcrumbs 3; butter 3.5; couple rum & ginger beer 5

Have a good day and keep safe.

  • Morning all, weather looking a bit healthier today. No idea how I have done this week, forgot to weigh yesterday morning, so jumped on scales before we had our zoom session yesterday evening and the battery went on the scales! Think I will ask to put a 2lb gain through, at least that way I will have covered my cheese accident. Popped into Lidl on way home yesterday and was ultra careful in picking up things!!!!!!!!

Decided last night that I will consider today as my first day on SW (again!), so will aim to cook something new every week, ensure that I definitely have more than enough speed etc.  Did pick up something last night which had not crossed my mind before, to actually put the speed on my plate first, which I think is a fab idea as it will force me to reduce my portion size, will see how that works this week :)

    Have a good day everyone.

Managed to get some nice cod loin this morning so it's HM breaded fish & chips for dinner; although I might give the Slimming Eats battered fish a go which would be a few more syns but think it might be worth it!  Will decide later :).

GTQ I usually put the veg on the plate first but that's because there's usually quite a bit of it!  Meat tends to be less than 1/3; potatoes the same - but I do think it's a good idea.  Hope it works for you too.

I put the washing on before I went shopping so now going to hang it out.

Yes hoping putting the veg on the plate first works for you. Our consultant says as well as seeing the plate a third fun of it ....it works on the subconscious as putting it first gives it more importance in your mind rather than being an after thought....😏😏 don’t know - but it make sense.
    Today
breakfast - started off as on omelette with bacon, tomato, mushroom and cottage cheese...it turned out more like scrambled egg but was very tasty
dinner - heb pitta with cheese ham and salad
tea - a home made sw ready meal....probably bolognaise.
I had intended doing the kfc tonight but we will be clucking 🐔🐔if we have any more chicken this week 😂😂The roast chicken we had at weekend lasted longer than I thought it would 😂😂
