I must have remembered back to the profiteroles! 🤣 Shortbread is much safer. 😉 Do you have bus passes or would you be too isolated for those? We caught a bus yesterday and they don't have any seats cordoned off any more locally but we still have to wear masks.
I'm sure MrB was joking about getting some fat on you bubbs. It really does help to have support with SW. I feel sorry for people who can't just cook 1 SW friendly meal for the whole family. My DH eats other things but he's more than happy to have SW at home plus some snacks.1 -
maman - oh yes, shortbread much safer! I have trouble stopping at just one or two profiteroles!!!
Yes we have bus passes but not sure whether there are buses nearby, particularly at the first site we're going to as it's one we've not been to before. The one in Lincoln and the one in Norfolk are definitely off the beaten track and no buses nearby. The Essex one we've got no idea as not been to that one either but at least we've got them if we are able to use them.
I'm with you on not being able to cook just one meal for the whole family. Having said that my girls knew that if they didn't eat what they were given then they would just get given a sandwich so more often than not they ate what they were given! I've never given in to fussiness. My DH is happy to eat what I give him but he'll often have extra stuff - he likes little cheesy biscuits and crisps so often has those but I'm not bothered by them so it's not a problem having them in the cupboard!

Funnily enough DH has shortbread fingers at the moment. 🤔
I agree that cooking one meal isn't just a SW thing. I didn't find it hard to find a range of meals that everyone would eat when the girls were at home either. That's one of the plus points of coming out of lockdown. We can choose different meals in restaurants. So DH can have his pies!! Maybe one day I'll try the pies bubbs makes. 😊0 -

Morning all, the weather is lovely this morning and it looks like the whole week is going to be good - about time!
DH says we're going to leave about 10 to avoid the traffic so no rush to empty the fridge and pack it into the van but will do it after breakfast anyway.
Today's plan:
B - creamy garlic mushrooms, toast - HEB; HEA2; S
L - no idea yet!
D - jerk stew; rice 'n' peas - P; S; F; 2
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - Primula Light
HEB - bread
Syns - coconut milk 2; 2 rum & ginger beer 5
I did weigh this morning and it is a very small loss of 0.2lb so SW would call it a STS so at least I know what weight I am comparing it with when I get back.
Not sure how often I'll get on but I'll post from time to time!

Morning all! Hope you have a lovely time denise - think you definitely booked the right weather by the looks of things! Might even get some washing dry on the line today!
Feeling so much better today so I'm actually going to get back to lifting some weights this afternoon I think. Nothing too difficult but will be nice to get back to it again. Had the usual ff greek yogurt with berries and granola for breakfast, mexican quinoa and some chicken and salad bits for lunch and then dinner is going to be a SW fry up (may or may not have been influenced by bubbs!)Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20171 -
Morning everyone,
Lovely and bright here. Have a great time away denise xx
Those raspberries look lovely bubbs. I have a pack of strawberries that really must get eaten today. Forgot about them yesterday.
Well done on completing C25K rubyGreat achievement whoohooo xx
We were at DS1s again last night and it was torturous - 3 of us painting the main bedroom a khaki(?) colour. One of those flat period emulsions that are trendy right now and show every finger mark (ask me how I know). Took flipping ages and we didn't get home until after 10pm. Back there again tonight for the second coat - I could weep!
Food today:
B - beans on wm toast, strawberries(!) - HEB
L - ham, cous cous, salad leaves, tomatoes, pickles - 1 syn
D - SW chicken, kale and potato bake
Snacks - apple
HEXA - milk
Syns - 1 planned but will see how the day pans out!
Have a good day everyone,
