Denise - it’s lucky to see any minced lamb here let alone lower fat versions. I have to admit I use normal mince lamb and dry fry and pour the fat off. Daren’t admit to that in SW group 😂😂😂 consultant would hyperventilate. We had moussaka last night and got 2 more in the freezer. 6 portions out of a pack of minced lamb.....plenty of tomato, onion and aubergines and sauce made from hea cheese and milk with a bit of cornflour.
I’ve decided to make my SW more natural, I’m not writing my food down anymore unless I’m struggling. I want to make it more ‘normal’ and not a diet I need to record. I know that wouldn’t work for some people but I’ve been doing it for so long now....over 8 years and I need to do something different with a changed mindset.

The moussaka sounds great milann. 😋 I think you're right not to treat SW as a diet. It's absolutely not meant to be one. It's just a healthy way of eating and the 'rules' just ensure we know to keep healthy foods and treats in the right proportions. Like you, I know the plan well but I've always had a meal plan even before SW. It's more a mse thing as I find it economical and guarantees no waste. 😊

I'm like you maman in that I was menu planning way before SW - I've been doing it to a certain extent since I got married 50 years ago, although I plan all meals now rather than just dinners but then breakfast and lunch was always cereal and sandwiches!  Now we have a lot more variety, which is good.

The weather forecast is pretty bad so our friends text last night to postpone our eating out so that's won't happen until at least after lockdown is lifted and we're allowed to eat inside because we've got our daughter coming next weekend and the weekend after we'll be sorting out for going away on holiday.  We have to meet at weekends because our friends are that bit younger than us and still working.

We're still going to Canterbury where we were going to meet as need to go to a shop there to return a small bean to cup coffee machine we bought last year for the motorhome and having tried it out it's no good.  The coffee it makes isn't hot enough to drink - it's just lukewarm and not very nice to drink.  Will get a refund for that and just use a grinder and stovetop Bialetti coffee pot as that makes really good coffee.  The best thing to come out of not meeting up is no Fish and Chips so at least a good chance of losing some weight this week!

    Today's plan:

    B - overnight oats - HEB; S; F
    L - minestrone soup with chicken - P; S; F
    D - vegetable curry, rice - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - porridge oats
    Syns - weekend wine

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all,

Got a craving for scrambled eggs today, so going to have scrambled eggs, mushrooms and beans on a flat bread at lunchtime.

Last night I was at my parents so grabbed a ping meal of 321 cals corned beef hash and had it with mushy peas – hit the spot.

The guesto box arrives today so that will see me through the weekend and a few more meals.

     B – granola ss milk

    L – eggs as discussed

D – LF sausage BP and veg

    Good morning everyone,
Weigh day for me and I've put on 0.5lb this week, which I'm okay with given biscuit-gate and TOTM (still) looming. Still 0.75lb below the big number, so that pleases me.
Thank you maman for checking the dahl syns xx The curry loaf turned out lovely and will have some for lunch today and freeze the rest in portions.
    Food today:
B - poached eggs, mushrooms, toast - HEXB
    L - curry loaf - 0.5 syns
D - grilled gammon steak, sw chips, baked beans
    Snacks - melon, pineapple, satsumas
    HEXA1 - milk
    HEXA2 - mini babybel
    Have a good day all,
    Coxy

Morning everyone.  Thanks for the super 6 bubbs, I need an aubergine for next week so perfect timing.

Finished week 6 of C25K this morning and the 25 minute run wasn't as bad as I thought it might be.  Don't get me wrong, it was difficult but I managed it (even managed to sprint the last 60 seconds!)  The program aims to get you running for 30 minutes maman so not quite 5K as such.  The idea is then that you can run consistently for 30 minutes and then try and up your time / distance till you get to 5K.  It's definitely something I want to continue with once I've finished and I've found a routine that works for me.

Like you milann I don't write out my HEB / HEA's or syns here - I know pretty much what's what but still meal plan all the same for MSE purposes.

Breakfast this morning was fruity skyr yogurt with half an apple and the last of the chicken sausages in the fridge.  Lunch is the second half of my miso tofu from the other night and then dinner is bulgogi biminbap with lots of veggies as I have a bunch in the fridge that need using up and I get to try my latest batch of kimchi 😋

It's DH's birthday tomorrow so I'm making him pancakes for breakfast as a treat and then attempting an American style BBQ for him with pulled pork, ribs, chicken wings, mac and cheese, coleslaw etc.  Need to go pick up the ingredients tonight and hope there are some decent cuts of meat left!

I still only plan dinners but make sure I have ingredients available for lunches and breakfasts. It dates back to when I was working crazy hours and I found planning helped me save time as well as money. Armed with my list I could whizz round the supermarket in no time and I'm very good at ignoring the aisles I don't need. Needless to say I routinely shop on my own! 🤣

That's a very tiny gain considering coxy. Keep plodding along and you'll see a loss. 😊

I love corned beef hash klew. I hope your calorie counting is working well for you. That's a very low calorie hash you picked up.  The lowest syn one online is Asda at 8.5 syns  for a 438 calories. What brand did you have?

That's a good way of maintaining exercise ruby. I like a plan! 😊

Generally the weekend officially starts here with wine o'clock on  Friday evening when I start using the syns I've saved. This week I'm trying to put off starting my weekend treats until tomorrow to try to get myself ready for WI in a couple of weeks. I'm not expecting it to be easy. 🤣

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash, skinny syrup, banana (F), HEB porridge, HEA1 milk, raspberries (S)
L- JP (F) with cottage cheese (P) and pickles (S)
D- Fake KFC (P), SW chips (F), garlic mushrooms with HEA2 Primula, green stuff, tomato, carrot chips (S)
    Syns- None planned🤞🏼

Good luck with no wine syns tonight maman.  I've started already!   We're away in the motorhome and still to decide whether we stay out tomorrow or go home!  Hoping it's not too bad here tomorrow and then we'll stay and go home on Sunday.  Will keep an eye on syns over the weekend and then cut back as necessary next week!
