I always start the day with a huge glass of squash as I often wake up feeling dehydrated klew. I used to drink fruit juice but don't want to waste syns. Drinking (water😉) is good for you including weightloss. Something to do with flushing the system.

It must be hard to have biscuits to hand tempting you  coxy. Have you thought of just buying snacks for the family that you don't like? I don't buy crisps and blocks of cheese for that reason but I can buy biscuits for DH as they don't tempt me.

When you get to  the 5K ruby👏🏼, how are you meant to maintain? or do you just keep doing a 5K run every day and going for speed? 🤔

That's an excellent weight considering your change in routine recently denise. I'm going to try extra hard to stay well within the 105 syns this week. I have to give it my best shot before groups reopen. It's not the money so much as I want to feel good about myself having managed well through lockdown. And who knows? I might get a holiday so I need to be bikini ready! 🤣

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), 2 fried eggs (P), HEB toast, HEA1 milk
L- sardines (P), pickles (S), lentil and vegetable soup (P,S)
D- SW Bolognese (P,S) with tagliatelle (F) and HEA2 Parmesan
    Syns- HP sauce 1

maman I've said to DH today that after this weekend with our friends then we really need to knuckle down and stick to plan as I need to weigh and send to consultant the week after next before we go on holiday for 3 weeks 3 days.  I'd really like to be nearer target than just at the top end but not sure that's going to happen but I can but try.  I know what you mean about feeling good about yourself having managed well during lockdown.  I think we're all doing well considering the circumstances.

Although we've got holidays I don't think any of them are likely to involve bikinis - not going anywhere hot.  UK this time and, hopefully, France in September but who knows whether that will be allowed!  If not we might go to Scotland or Wales but not decided what we're going to do yet if we can't go to France.

PS. Change of plan for dinner tonight!  We're having smoky sausage and bean casserole (I couldn't find it in the freezer when I looked but DH managed to find it when he had a look - it was buried at the bottom of the freezer where I can't reach!  That's the problem with only being 5' tall and having a chest freezer!)

Thanks denise - recipe said to add the creamy mustard sauce (quark, stock and mustard powder) and cook for 5 minutes on low. I must've added it too quickly whilst the pan was still hot :(
I ate custard creams yesterday maman - don't even like them that much, just pigged out because work was so dire and they were there! My bad.

It could be that the heat was too high, I think I'd try taking it off the heat to cool a little then stir it through and then return to minimum heat for the 5 minutes to warm through.

I'm a bit like that with custard creams Coxy.  Used to buy them for DH and then when I felt peckish I'd have 2 or 3 - such as waste of syns.  Now only ever buy the Lotus biscuits as I don't mind them and I buy them in packs of 2 and usually share with DH so only end up using 2 syns (they used to be 1.5 when I first started buying them!).

    Afternoon all

That's really good Denise well done!

Klew, i also woke with an absolute banging headache but at 2 am, got up took 2 tablets and drank 2 pints water 😂 i had already had a drink from my bedside but that was all gone, i think mine was because despite eating loads yesterday i was starving 😱 i think it's because it's such a late tea for me.

Today i took crustless quiche with me, then when i got home about 11 had some BNS soup, it was that thick it looks like baby food 🤣 then about 2 i had a bacon and tomato "roll" which i used big mushrooms for.

We have sweet n sour chicken, and cauli egg fried rice (me) for tea

Aldi S6 is beetroot, cucumber, green beans, big mushrooms, aubergine and can't remember the other 😂i just nipped in quick as needed yoghurt but bought the mushrooms 😋

Will try that next time Denise. Thanks for the S6 heads up Bubbs 😊
I’m cooking a SW curry loaf to use for lunch tomorrow and freeze the rest. Can anyone check the syns of this please?:

I’m also using Aldi everyday essentials golden savoury rice- is that free does anyone know? Have added 2 eggs and some curry powder. Used to make this with batchelors curry rice but can’t seem to get it nowadays.
    TIA Coxy

Dahl is 1 syn for the can and rice is free coxy. 😊 I remember when the curry cake was a stalwart of taster sessions. I liked it far more than the sweet stuff some people made. I'm sure the Dahl was syn free then. 🤔

I has mackerel in mustard sauce for lunch instead of sardines. Still free though. 😇

That's a good range in the Super 6 bubbs. I usually stock up on beetroot when it comes round and I think I'll try something with aubergines. Maybe a cheat moussaka with beef mince? 🤔
I need to do my meal plan for next week so will add that. 😁

I more often than not use beef rather than lamb mince when I make moussaka because it's usually in the freezer and also because even the leanest 10% fat lamb mince is syns, although not as high as I thought - just checked and Sainsbury's is 2 syns per 100g, both Tesco and Aldi is 1 syn per 100g - not that I've ever seen 10% fat mince in Tesco!
