    Hi everyone,
Welcome back Denise, glad you had a nice time.ย
Another day off plan. Did some gardening and housework, plus walked to Tesco for a large chicken. Have barely eaten anything bar the roast chicken dinner. DH was in charge and put all the potatoes to roast in goose fat despite getting out a separate dish and fry light. FGS!
Oh well, tomorrow is another day!ย
Skewers look lovely Bubbs - do you marinade the chicken?ย
Rain and wind here but hoping for a dry start tomorrow and will go for a run ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป

Morning all, gosh that wind and rain yesterday was really bad we were glad we came home early! ย Really wouldn't have been pleasant in that weather. ย The rain has stopped but it is still really windy and I have to go out and need to get some food as the fridge is almost empty! ย I also have an order for some t-shirts to pick up from Sainsbugs.

    Today's plan:

    B - eggs on toast - HEB; P
    L - ham salad - P; S; F
D - beef bougignon, mash, green veg - P; S; F (I used about 2 tsp of cornflour for 4 portions to thicken the gravy so not going to syn it!)

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - 0

Done a guesstimate of how many syns I've had so far and reckon I've got probably about 7 syns for today and tomorrow - I can do this and hopefully come in bang on target on Thursday (I'm 0.8lb over this morning) but still a while before I need to text consultant.

Keep safe everyone that wind is still horrendous this morning.

    Morning all

ย 2 pounds off! Was pleased with that one. Calorie counting is def helping with the portion control.

Also went to get like a lightweight waterproof with zips, dog walkers need zips. I tried a jacket on I couldnโ€™t fasten up previously and it fits! So I bought it. I have also gone down a further 2 sizes in the country style gilet I wear. Although I didnโ€™t buy that, I will be at some point.

Ten second rule when dropping food!

    Im craving quiche now @bubbs

ย Its horrible rainy cold weather here so my idea of soups this week was a good one! glad you had a good time away @joedenise

    B โ€“ granola ss mlk

L โ€“ chicken and sweetcorn soup space raiders

D โ€“ LF sausages, braised red cabbage, mashed turnip, leeks and jersey royals. Onion gravy

ย Later in the week I will be trying the PON hunters chicken โ€“ going to try and do a recipe a week.

ย I have, controversially, ordered a guesto box. 4 meals. 12 quid. To have over the weekend. ย I had such a good discount code and I have fancied trying it for a while. Each meal I picked I made sure was no more than 600 calories and im sure I can edit to be more sw friendly if need be.

    Good morning,

klew - excellent news on the 2lb loss and also whoohoo to being a couple of clothes sizes smaller. That's such a great result.
bubbs - thanks for the tip - will be trying those skewers at some point mmmm

So after yesterdays stormy weather, I got up for a run and it was stair rod rain! Waited until 6.45am and it stopped so I took my chance. Lots of tree debris and it's bin day today so peoples paper box waste and food waste had been deposited on the paths. Was more like the Grand National than a flat race this morning! Completed 5k in 32 minutes exactly - happy with that.

    Food today will be:
B - satsumas, poached eggs on toast - HEB
L - chicken satay sticks, salad leaves, tomatoes, pickles - 3 syns
D - SW cowboy hotpot, green beans
    Snacks - melon, apple
    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - mini babybel
    Total syns planned - 3
    Have a good day everyone,
    Coxy

Morning all!ย Had a lazy BH weekend and wishing I'd done more but to be honest I think it was needed.ย  Struggling to get back into the groove this morning though!ย  Weighed in yesterday and had a 5lb loss!ย  Most of it was water weight I know but it's good to finally see a loss on the scales.ย  Lower carb and higher protein, more water and consistent movement definitely worked and I even had some cookies on Friday and it didn't stop me too much.ย  The cookies were a little reward for actually managing to run for 20 minutes without stopping at the end of the week 5 C25K.ย  Honestly was dreading it but it went by surprisingly quickly and without dying so that was a bonus!ย  Meant that yesterday's 8 minute run felt relatively easy and I'm looking forward to trying to do 25 minutes this Friday.

Breakfast this morning was fat free greek yogurt with strawberries and blueberries and then a couple of Aldi chicken sausages because I was still a little hungry.ย  Lunch is going to be a tuna and egg salad and then dinner tonight is a stir fry with ginger tofu and some noodles (which I can have as Tuesday is our night to cook just for ourselves and DH isn't too keen on tofu!)

Hope you all have a good day and stay safe.

Great losses klew and ruby. So pleased for you both. ๐Ÿ˜

You certainly seem to be back on it with your exercise ruby so maybe that's helping. I think it's great for mood as well as all the other benefits.ย

Calorie counting wouldn't be for me klew as I'd find smaller portions restrictive but if it's working for you then go for it! I think I naturally keep calories down a bit by limiting carbs. I'm a great believer that we have to make SW (or whatever healthy eating programme we choose) work for us if it's to be a long term thing.ย

You're doing ever so well considering you've been away twice denise. 'Good when you can' seems to be working. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ I'm counting my gravy as free too as it's LO from the beef in 'red wine' and it was only 1 syn when I made it and I counted that on Sunday. I need to get to Tesco soon as I need more wine stock pots. I'll be near there tomorrow for my dental appointment so I'll stock (excuse pun๐Ÿ˜‰) up. I like their instant potato too.ย

Equally wild here last night too coxy. It's bright now and quite warm although wind is quite high until teatime.ย

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash, baked beans (F), bacon, fried eggs (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- ham (P), fried veg and pickles (S)
D- sausage, mash, gravyย  (F), onions, greens, cauli, carrots (S)
    Syns- BGTY sausages 2
