Morning all! I haven't been to Harrogate for many years maman, but did enjoy it. Maybe this year with the lack of international holidays I can finally convince DH to go to the North East for a trip and then to Wales as well; both places that hold great memories.
Well done on the loss klew, hope you're friend is ok after her tumble.
Hope the heating is ok milann!
I may or may not have demolished half of my very nice easter egg last night 😏 Oh well we move onwards. It snowed here a little bit yesterday - the odd flurry but nothing actually stuck. it was just really cold! Still cold this morning so I had porridge with strawberries, blueberries and a drizzle of maple syrup. Lunch is another salad with ham and cheese and then cottage pie for dinner tonight - lots of warming food for the cold snap we're having.

Oh I'm feeling quite sorry for that egg ruby. Did you have to gobble through the pattern or is that still intact? 🤔😁
I haven't checked but I have about 8 syns left for today although not sure if I wrote down that little bar of chocolate I had the other evening. All in all it's not been a bad week though, no major slip ups. That's probably because nothing unexpected ever happens!!!🤣

L- LO casserole with veg and beetroot (P,S,F)

Dh managed to get the fire on last night and this morning, so we had some warmth and is phoning a plumber who has looked at the boiler previously in a hope he can come out tomorrow when dh is in. Blow me - the heating came on of its own accord this afternoon. I’m now really warm but wary of turned it off in case it doesn’t come on again. Each time we think it’s kaput - it comes on unexpectedly.....hate intermittent faults on things 😡😡
Day 2
breakfast - mushroom omelette, 1/2 hea cheese
dinner - heb barmcake, corned beef 1 syn, of spread 1 syn, onion, cucumber and tomato. Hi Fi bar 3 syns
tea - sausage 1 syn, beans, egg, bacon mushrooms and tomato and actifry chips.January spends - £587.580 -
That sounds typical milann. Our plumber told us last year when he serviced the boiler that we can probably get another 2-3 years out of our boiler so at least we've got a couple of years to save up from a new boiler! British Gas condemned it about 8 years ago prior to finding this plumber! So glad my friend recommended him to us.
I can understand you not wanting to turn it off! Can you just reduce the temperature on the thermostat so it doesn't turn off rather than turning it off?

Evening all
Been some funny old weather recently, Sunday T-shirt & shorts (well for son, me still in jeans). Monday walked dog early doors in a snow blizzard then afternoon in bright sunshine although wind chill was 🥶.
Trying out green tea ( hate normal tea but this is drinkable, just). If it does nothing else it’s upped my fluid intake 🤗.
Lost half a pound at weigh in, taking it as it comes as nothing is right meal wise 🥺.
Discovered home bargains here ( not been open long) could have spent loads but reigned it in, hubby got his Yorkshire tea (480 bags for £9.97) not sure if that’s cheap but it works out cheaper in the long run.Time to do my lateral flow test before I forget again 🥴
Oh and we had some fantastic leg of lamb from MrT for Easter 🤤🤤Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

TiE - not particularly cheap for Yorkshire teabags as they are £9.50 in Mr Ts for the 480 box, but having said that they don't always have them.
We've got a Home Bargains in the next town but have to say I'm not impressed by the shop so don't usually bother going in. Prefer B&M which is more local to me.

Good to hear from you tie. And well done for having a loss. Whatever you're doing is keeping the weight off. 😊
I buy dried dates in Home Bargains for DH but they're not SW friendly although at 89p for 500g they're excellent value. I also get copious amounts of beetroot at IIRC 65p for the large jars. I paid £8.99 for the big bag of Yorkshire tea in Farmfoods but I don't know if they have them regularly.
My friend just confirmed that we have a lunch booking confirmed for next Wednesday. I've no idea of the menu but I'll be having whatever I like, including wine syns. Need to plan what to wear, starting with a thermal vest and tights. 🤣2
