The SW website pulled pork in BBQ sauce isn't bad. I've done that a couple of times now maman, even used it for Christmas one year rather than a roast pork joint as DH could cook it on the BBQ while the beef and potatoes were cooking in the oven. DD1 and DGD loved it with the BBQ sauce but DH preferred it without the sauce. I liked it with the sauce too, found it a bit dry without it.

Morning everyone,
Food looking lush again bubbs - I use the SW pulled pork recipe when we have it.
denise - small world. My DSis, DMum, aunts and cousins all live in SB.
DH cooked chilli con carne last night - it was very tasty. I didn't have any rum in the end but did have two benefit bars which I think is okay for a B choice. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong though.
No running today. Had a very poor night's sleep - awake for about an hour 4am ish so feel very jaded this morning.
Food today:
B - Welsh rarebit - HEXB/HEXA1
L - chicken satay, cottage cheese, salad leaves, tomatoes, pickles - 3 syns
D - spaghetti with tomato sauce (family having meatballs with theirs)
Snacks - apple, grapes
HEXA2 - milk
Syns planned - 3

Morning all! Sounds like you all had a good Easter weekend. We spent Friday spring cleaning the house and then Saturday a friend came over in the afternoon for a cup of tea in the garden. Sunday afternoon, one of my friends and her husband came over for a few hours. We last saw them at the start of December when they told us they were expecting their first child and now she's 6 months pregnant 🤯 Can't believe how quickly the time has gone! Yesterday we had a couple of video calls with family etc. and then I just crashed on the sofa and didn't feel too good. DH thinks it was all the socialising and I think he's right! I need to build up my stamina for interacting with people again 😂 Feeling a lot better today although being back at work isn't any fun.
I may have had a few treats over the weekend but my easter egg is still in one piece - my parents sent me a hand painted one from Betty's and it's too pretty to eat! Had a couple of scrambled eggs for breakfast (I've found that I can eat them if I put some tabasco sauce on them!) with some mango. Lunch will be picky salad with lots of little bits that need to be used up and then dinner is carbonara.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
I thought of you last week ruby. I watched a programme where Nadiya Hussein took Fred Sirieix to Betty's and they had Fat Rascals. 😊 I've watched a number of the travel/cookery programmes during lockdown and enjoyed them. Syn free just watching! 🤣1

Good morning all,
Hope you had a good birthday @joedenise happy Easter everyone!
Had a lovely, but quiet few days off, I actually lost 3 pounds on Saturday. I think this is a win as I was on holiday too!
Sunday was an eat what you like day as I was at the parents for Sunday lunch which was roast beef, gravy, mashed turnip, peas, broccoli cheese, roast potatoes, Yorkshires and pigs in blankets! Dash of horseradish. Just delicious. Rhubarb crumble for afters. No Easter egg chocolate had but I didn’t miss it.
Hoping to continue this week with the weight loss….. last week I calorie counted as well to mix things up so will do that again this week. It has helped familiarise myself with what is good and not so good!
B – fruit and fibre milk
L – chicken salad
D – tuna bp and salad
I knew today would be manic after a few days off and a bank holiday so simple food it is. I went for a walk at 6.30 this morning and it was minus 1! Brrrr. Hopefully a bit warmer tonight, id like it to stay dry as the recent dry weather have opened up some more tracks for me, they were open before but extremely muddy which would mean boots and I don’t walk my best in boots.

Afternoon all, it's lovely and bright now but still quite cold. I hung my washing out first thing this morning but needed to wear my jacket because it was so cold, probably about 1 or 2 degrees then! I couldn't feel my fingers after a while, was glad once it was all hung on the line and I could get back indoors and have a cup of coffee to warm up before I cooked breakfast, followed by going shopping and getting DH's bike tyres changed.
We picked up another gooseberry bush today - a yellow one this time, which is also a bit later fruiting than the one we bought last week so we should get some from about May through to September, but unfortunately not until next year! We're waiting for some raspberry canes to arrive but not looking promising for them to arrive before we go away as not heard anything to say they're on the way. We ordered 3 different varieties, again fruiting at different times so should have quite a long season. Again not until next year.
Today's plan:
B - kedgeree - P; S; F (made with ready frozen smoked haddock and definitely not as nice as DH's smoked haddock - have bought some more haddock for DH to smoke again; have decided we need to do this before it runs out next time!)
L - creamy garlic mushrooms on toast - HEB; HEA2; S
D - LO roast beef, chips, beans - P; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - Primula Light
HEB - bread
Syns - none planned but may have a few squares of dark chocolate
I have 23 syns left for today and tomorrow so may actually end up not quite using them all this week for a change!

I watched tv this morning and Capt Sir Tom’s family were setting a challenge to do 100 of something to commemorate the start of his walking last year. I have decided to do this by logging my food and exercise for 100 days ( after I’ve completed it 😂😲👍) in a bid to stay on track. I’ll put some change in a pot each day I make an entry and send the cash to my favourite charity. I’m notorious for starting diaries and packing them in after a couple of weeks. By the end of the 100 days I’ll hopefully have formed some new habits and be at target. Might be the mind game I need 👍 Just realised it’ll be my brothers birthday so a date I can easily remember 14th July 👍

tea - lamb, new potatoes, carrots, broccoli and peas. Mint sauce and gravy 2 syns
snacks - banana, pear and satsuma. Last slice of chocolate Easter cake - no idea how many syns but took me to my total - probably over 😊

My parents told me about that maman, will have to check it out on catch-up, I love York and spent many a weekend there when I was at uni in Durham, and it always included a trip to Betty's.
That's a lovely idea milann, and a great way to motivate yourself. I'm the same that I try to form a new habit but then something comes along to derail it. Although I have managed my morning yoga each day this month so far so might try and get to 100 consecutive days and see what happens!

Well done klew. 3lbs is an excellent loss. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 There used to be someone posted on here that did MyFitnessPal alongside SW. I suppose it's similar to doing SP as it's the carbs and syns that would have most of the calories.
Good luck with your 100 day challenge milann. Great idea to link it to SW. Even at 1lb a week, you could lose a stone! 😊
It was the Betty's in Harrogate in the programme ruby. I've been to Harrogate many times for various conferences. There's a super Chinese restaurant in the Pump Rooms and even the Wetherspoons is smart. I think it's missing travel that's getting me hooked on all these programmes. It's on again tonight denise and Fred is being taken to places to eat in the New Forest.
We had a walk this morning and, while it was chilly in the wind, it was bright and sunny. Pleased to say that I put jeans on and they fitted fine. 😁 It's too easy to not notice any weight gains when lounging around the house in leggings.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), fried eggs (P), tomatoes and mushrooms (S), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- cold turkey (P), fried potato (F), fried veg and beetroot (S)
D- chicken casserole (P,S,F), cabbages and broccoli (S)
Syns- cornflour 11 -
Thanks maman, what channel is it please? I'll have to watch on catch up tomorrow! Anything like that I tend to watch when DH is out playing golf!
We didn't get to go in Betty's when we were in York last year - decided to give it a miss as the queues were enormous, I suspect people were queuing for well over an hour just to get in, even the baker's side had similar length queues!
Sorry klew, forgot to say well done on 3lb loss, that's brilliant!
Good luck milann & ruby with the 100 day challenge! Definitely a great idea to help keep you on track if it will help with your motivation for SW.
