Afternoon all! I know what you mean about constantly doing washing denise - although that being said, I have just put on the last load and the washing basket is now empty 🥳
Have just got back from having my second covid jab and I even got a shiny badge to wear on my lanyard to show that I've been fully vaccinated. Our hospital certainly does love a badge! Arm is starting to ache, feeling a little light headed and nauseous which is how I felt the first time round. Purposefully gave myself an easy afternoon for work and can just lie on the sofa and listen to a conference. Have also prepped a roasted cauliflower curry for dinner tonight so all DH has to do is turn the oven on, boil the rice and reheat the sauce - think he can just about manage that!
Hope everyone is staying safe and having a good day.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Afternoon all
Not so nice here, very overcast and few little showers, they keep saying it's going to brighten up, but i don't believe them 😂
Ruby hope you are ok and not too badly affected.
Well that gardening yesterday has really b00gered up my knee! Every time i moved in the night it was like someone was digging a sharp knife in it 😣
I have just had mushroom omelette stuffed with beans and side salad, may be windy here later as bubble & squeak beans and egg for part tea, didn't think that through 🙄

Well done with the loss Beanie. I’ve had a few good days but thrown it out of the water today by eating everything in site and everything out of site too 😲 Don’t know what gets into me. Line drawn tea will be a chicken stew with leeks, carrot and onion and new potatoes 😏January spends - £587.583

Good afternoon
Im the same ladies, hate wallpaper too! My last house was rented and had woodchip but this house which I now own had it too so im slowly getting rid. The living room does have a feature wall but its subtle and flat!
Massive kingsize solid pine bedframe which is impossible to move so tomorrow a new plush divan base arrives then the decorating will begin as its impossible to decorate around the current frame.
Back to SW, I only managed 3 miles last night and it was a slog. Even the dog wanted to go home! Must try harder, I feel like I have eaten badly, as in picked. I need to turn this week around!
Breakfast fruit and fibre ss milk
Lunch – pot noodle AND space raiders
Dinner – lasagne and salad

maman - yuk! Where did you find that! I'd never be able to sleep in a room decorated like that!
ruby hope you don't suffer too much but brilliant you've now had your 2nd jab. Mine's due beginning of May assuming it goes the full 12 weeks.
klew our bed is an American supering - 7' x 6'6" - water bed so gallons of water to drain out before we can even move the frame. If we'd had any sense we would have decorated the bedroom when we had it drained the year before last when the bladder sprung a leak!
The wallpaper stripping isn't going very quickly; some of the wallpaper is stuck on with superglue - at least that's what it seems like. Another black bag full gone in the bin. At this rate we'll still be stripping the room in 6 months time!

Have a good evening all,

Oh maman, that wallpaper looks almost exactly like the stuff the previous owner had in the main bedroom here 😳 They also installed a HUGE "built in" wardrobe that took up a third of the bedroom and was covered in black mirrored glass. It was the first thing to go and we then discovered an actual built in wardrobe behind the thing! This house has certainly been full of surprises! Think I'd probably like sleeping on a waterbed denise but would be too scared of it leaking. Fingers crossed it's easier to drain and refill than I think it is!
Definitely starting to feel a bit rubbish but it's nothing really - very glad to have had the opportunity to be vaccinated in the first place. DH made me a bacon sandwich for lunch which has perked me up a bit.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20171
