Roast chicken dinner? Midweek? You know how to live bubbs. 🤣 Enjoy.😋

I don't see the cream and wine one on the syns online coxy. The ones that are on there all come out at about 2.5 syns for 250g so your estimate sounds OK to me.

Aldi The Tasty Catch Co. Stir in Mussels with a Tomato, White Wine & Smoked Paprika Sauce, frozen (250g pack)

    2½ Syns

Aldi The Fishmonger Cooked Mussels in Garlic & Butter Sauce, chilled (450g pack)

    5½ Syns

Aldi The Fishmonger Mussels in White Wine Sauce, chilled (450g pack)

    4 Syns

Like denise I just eat them out, usually in France and they rarely have cream with them there. Although I rememebr a restaurant in Dijon where they had sauces with everything, including curry! 🤣

I'm afraid syns have gone a bit crazy here this week. I decided to have a drink last night which is rare for me on a Monday. I did enjoy them though so now I'm just drawing a line and moving on. 😉

All the preparation will be worth it in the end denise. I think that part of decorating is so unrewarding. I'm sure you'll have a lovely room when it's done although fussy wallpapers and chintzy fabrics are back in fashion so I've heard.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), scrambled eggs (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- JP (F), cottage cheese (P), spring onions, beetroot (S)
D- baked haddock (P), mini roasts (F), cauli steak, green medley, mushrooms, tomatoes (S)
    Sys- HP sauce 1

So sorry to hear that beanie. It wouldn't be so bad if you liked the courtesy car. ☹️ Have they given you any idea when it'll be ready?🤔

It does seem a big treat to have a full roast midweek bubbs. But we have haddock loin tonight and it's probably more expensive per kg. But it was YS so (goes to check wrapper) so £2.65 instead of £5.09.😁

Hopefully by the end of this week but I won't hold my breath.

maman - chintzy & fussy are not going to happen here!  No wallpaper just going to paint.  We didn't get round to doing any today as were up a bit late after having a drink last night - big mistake!  Good job I don't need too many syns for meals today and tomorrow!  Didn't actually get back from shopping until 12.30 so by the time it was put away and lunch made it was nearly half one before we ate!  So knock on effect didn't have dinner until 6.30 or so.

Will do some more tomorrow.  The only thing I did today was to remove stuff from on top of the ottoman and chest of drawers (a mirror and my huge teddy - he was hand made and weighted to be the same weight as DD2!)

I don't usually do a midweek roast but do sometimes make roast potatoes to go with something else.  Diet Coke chicken was OK but DH said he actually prefer my sweet and sour sauce!  Not much point in spending all that time making the sauce if he isn't keen.  Haven't made it for a long time but don't remember him saying he wasn't keen on it last time!

Hope you get your car back soon Beanie.  It's never the same driving a courtesy car.

Me too Beanie.  I absolutely hate wallpaper - when we used to have wallpaper it would take ages for DH and I find something we could both "live" with!  Biggest problem now is deciding what colour to have in the bedroom - we're only putting colour on one wall the rest will be painted off white (one of those white with a dash of colour in it so it's not a bright white!) or magnolia.

Another lovely day and another machine load of washing on the line - even DH commented this morning and said you always seem to be doing washing!  What does he expect when we don't wear our clothes until they get filthy just a couple of days for top clothes and every day for underwear, socks & t-shirts!

    Today's plan:

B - breakfast hash topped with eggs - potatoes, spring onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, rosemary and red onion sausages chopped up, spinach, eggs - P; S; F
    L - LO Diet Coke chicken, jacket potato - P; S; F
    D - HM faggots, mash, green beans, peas - P; S; F; 0.5

    HEA - milk
HEB - none planned but may have a couple of Ryvita this evening with some Primula Light
Syns - ryvita in the faggots 0.5
