Morning all, the weather isn't too bad here either bubbs.  First load washed and on the line.  Now have the bedroom curtains and blackout liners in the machine - just hope they dry otherwise I'm going to have to move a whole load of stuff to get another pair out of the ottoman which I'd rather not do!

Started stripping our bedroom walls yesterday but there are so many layers of paper and paint that it's taking ages!  I've only done a small section of one wall and there's nearly half a black bag of soggy, sticky paper!  Going to do some more today - so at least it's a bit of body magic; it's harder going than I'd expected.

    Today's plan:

B - baked oats, mixed frozen fruit, frozen cherries, yoghurt - HEB; S; F
    L - slow cooked vegetable casserole - S; F
    D - mixed vegetable biryani - S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - oats
Syns - none planned (just as well really as DH decided to open a bottle of wine last night so I was over syns yet again!)

I need to total up syns used so far so that I can see how many I have left but should be OK as only need a few the meals tomorrow and Wednesday.

    Have a good day everyone.

Update:  Just checked and have got plenty of syns left - 35.5 for 3 days.

    Morning everyone,
Sun is shining here and first WM load on the line. Another load just about the finish. Managed a 3.3k run this morning.
My big walking adventure starts at the end of June. We travel to JoG from Kent by plane, train and taxi on 28 June, have a rest day and then start walking on 30 June. We have already forward booked/made enquiries for the first 21 days of the walk. We have 2-3 nights under canvass and then a BnB or hostel, to break it up. We are carrying all our kit and I practice packed yesterday - like giving a piggy back to a small child....!
I put tomatoes on my welsh rarebit denise, and thanks for the tip about joining the CC club - will look into that.
    Food today:
    B - pineapple spears, welsh rarebit - HEXB, S
    L - tuna pasta salad, 1 tbsp mayo - S, 2 syns
    D - SW carbonara - HEXA1 for parmesan
Snacks - apple, satsumas, benefit bar
    Syns - 5 planned
    Have a good day all,
    Coxy

Coxy what an adventure. How far do you plan to walk each day?
    Yesterday
brunch - bacon, omelette with mushroom, onion and ham, 1 sausage 1 syn, baked beans and tomato
tea - pulled pork and beans with tomatoes and peppers from freezer served with  cous cous with lots of herbs and veg in - fennel, butternut squash, peppers, onions, celery, courgette and aubergine and lastly (I think) tomato. A bunch of corriander and parsley and a couple of lemons zested and juiced. Delicious 😋
4 profiteroles-18 syns.......the plan was to have 2 but the last couple jumped onto my plate and they’re always nicest on the day of purchase.
I only had 10 syns Saturday though so am still in allowance
    Today
breakfast - beans, bacon, egg and heb toast, satsuma
dinner - cold meat and salad
tea - left over cous cous with some kind of kebab....not sure whether to make lamb or chicken. I might find a gyros recipe I’ve heard is nice.
snacks - satsuma, apple maybe a snicker or kitkat

    January spends - £587.58

Morning all!  Had a week off work last week and decided to have a week away from the internet and the laptop too which was a good decision, although it's been hard to get back into the swing of things this morning 😒

Weight loss wise, a week ago I had another gain, taking me back to a number I didn't want to see on the scale and I felt really uncomfortable.  After a week of taking things back to basics and having a week off of the exercise as I just wanted a total rest, I've lost 7.2lbs this morning.  I know most of that is probably the excess water weight I'd been carrying around, but happy to see a smaller number on the scales, even if it's 1st and 3lbs heavier than my lightest.

I'm going to be honest and say that the last week I haven't necessarily eaten in a SW plan way; I've not tracked or counted anything, had lots of fruit and veg but also allowed myself to eat what I wanted as long as I was truly hungry.  Not saying I've cracked it all after a week but I'm feeling a lot better mentally, by taking the pressure off and fiving myself permission to eat peanut butter on toast or an avocado with my salad without worrying if there's enough syns left to have it or if I need to bulk out the meal with even more veg to make up for it has given me a little more peace.  Who knows, I might still end up demolishing entire easter eggs when it's star week next week, but for the moment I feel good.  I won't be posting what I'm eating here but will still be popping in for the social aspect...probably until I start piling on the pounds again and revert back to the SW ways 😂

Ruby - glad it was just because you were taking a break from the internet that you hadn't posted.  That's a great weight loss for the week, even if you think it was water retention!  I suspect some of it was actually weight rather than water.

I think it does us good sometimes to eat what we fancy and be far more relaxed about SW!  I know it works for me when I go away in the motorhome for a month at a time.  I always come back raring to get back to SW.

    Good morning everyone,

Hope you are all well, had a bit of a break from computers last week whilst on holiday but back with a bang today. well done @ruby_eskimo on the loss!

I didn’t actually weigh in on Saturday – not cos I was on holiday and eating loads but because I was up and away early as the joiner was coming to finish the bathroom and the dog is an absolute pest when someone is working in the house. It is however, much easier to stay on plan when I'm at work and in a routine. Although there was no takeaways or alcohol consumed, there was a couple of empire biscuits and the odd scone but combated by the extra miles walked and generally being more active.

     Welcome @MrsBrownBear!

Breakfast – fruit and fibre SS milk

Lunch – Leaves, cucumber, spring onion, pickled onion, celery, sweetcorn, grated cheese (tiny), grated carrot and either chicken or ham. Got some lovely ham in asda at the weekend

Dinner – Sticky chicken, peppers, mushrooms, onions, BP and peas.

     Have a good day

Wow ruby, that's brilliant. Well done. Who cares if its water retention or anything. It's a great loss. 😁 I'd guess that it's all the weeks of eating well that have caught up with you at last. It doesn't always show immediately. I don't blame you relaxing things a bit if it's better for your mental health.  I find with SW that it's so ingrained as a default healthy way of eating that it's become the sort of food I like anyway.

That really is something to look forward to coxy. You're certainly doing really well with preparations.
You did well to eat profiteroles and stay within syns milann
I'm OK for syns at the moment too denise. It's a regular Monday thing but I suppose that's the way my meal plan is written. I rarely have synful meals during the week.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), fried eggs and bacon (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- cold meat (P), fried veg and pickles (S), maybe a potato (F)
D- chilli con carne (P,S) with brown rice (F), cottage cheese (P)
    Syns- HP sauce 1
