    Food today was:
B - 2 soft boiled eggs and dark rye Ryvita - HEXB
L - ham and lettuce tortilla, french fries - 10.5 syns
D - cannaloni, brocolli, green beans - syns for bechemel sauce 4?
    Snacks - chocolate!
    Total syns - loads
Back on the wagon tomorrow 😊

Coxy - it depends on how much you used.  500ml of béchamel works out 27 syns!  That's for 50g each butter and flour and assumes you used one of your HEAs to make the sauce. If you used a packet mix then the Schwartz white sauce one works out at 5 syns for the packet.   I actually made a SW "béchamel" sauce the other day when I did the eggs Benedict which worked out at 1/2 syn per portion using fromage frais; extra light mayo; egg yolks and mustard powder.  It was actually really nice - even DH liked it!

We don't really "do" Mother's Day - just a phone call from DD2 and a text for DD1; no pressies but then we don't do pressies full stop!  We usually take them out for a meal for their birthday - we managed to take DD1 and DGD for their birthdays as they are November;  DD2 will have to wait and until we're allowed to meet up and eat out later in the year as her's was February.

Mothers' Day often clashes with my birthday. I had a doorstep visit from DD1 earlier and a phone call from DD2. My home is awash with flowers and cards but other than the crisps and Welsh cakes on Friday I haven't had any edible gifts! Thank goodness for that. 😁
Pork roast was yummy even though I forgot to put bay leaves under the meat which I usually do. Winner dinner looked yummy too bubbs. 😋

Morning all.  It's horrible weather this morning, it's absolutely p'ing down!  Wish I didn't need to go out today but I do - both DH and I have dentist appointments.  I lost a piece of filling a couple of weeks ago and DH has a chipped tooth and he's been getting a bit of gip from it recently so booked us both an appointment at the same time.  Stupidly they say they still have to clean down properly between us seeing the dentist!  I really don't get it we're together nearly all the time so unlikely to spread something just because we're in the same chair!  So our appointments are 45 minutes apart instead of 15 and we have to wait outside while the other is in there, so I'm going to take the opportunity of walking to Mr Ts and doing the bit of shopping we'll need that we'd probably have done tomorrow.  Will still need to stop at the farm shop on the way home for some fruit and veg.

Clean jeans day today and they done up easily so I'm hopeful of a loss this week!  Finished yesterday on 12 syns so still on track to keep at it and try to get back to target or even bottom end!

    Today's plan:

B - baked oats; frozen mixed fruit; frozen cherries; yoghurt - HEB; S; F
L - brunch hash - potatoes, pork mince, onions, tomatoes, peppers, spinach all fried up together topped with an egg - P; S; F
D - vegetarian cottage pie - Linda McCartney rosemary and red onion sausages, green lentils, onions, garlic, carrots, leeks, celery, tomatoes, potatoes mashed with fromage frais & grainy mustard; green veg (probably cabbage & green beans) - P; S; F;1

    HEA - milk
    HEB - oats
Syns - grainy mustard 1 (need to check the recipe again as it says it's 2.5 syns per portion but the only thing I can see that is synned is the mustard!)

    Have a good day everyone.
