Morning all!  Woke up super tired today but its my last day at work for the week so shouldn't complain too much 😂  Star week is knocking me for six this week but still trying to keep up with healthy eating and getting some exercise in.

Breakfast this morning was a slice of toast and a couple of strawberries, lunch will be leftover fajita mix with salad and dinner tonight will probably be a risotto now after all the mention of them over the last couple of days.  I have a courgette, half a leek and some chopped tomatoes to use up so will add that in to the rice with some parmesan and greek yogurt to make it a bit creamier.

Hope you all have a good day and stay safe.

    Morning,
Sorry to hear about the car beanielou - must've been really shocking. ruby - I stand in solidarity with you on star week :(
That recipe sounds nice Denise - thanks for sharing.
Bit grim, dark and damp here today. Despite feeling bloated, I did manage a short 3k run but flaming app didn't record it, so no idea on how fast (or sloooow) I was. Ah well. It felt good to be out in the fresh air.

Food today is a slight change from meal plan:
    B - puffed wheat, skimmed milk - HEXB/HEXA1
L - cous cous, cherry tomatoes, pickles, tuna, 1tbsp light mayo - 3 syns total
D - steak, sw chips, portobello mushroom, roasted tomatoes on the vine. Will top mushroom with a little cheese.
    Snacks - apple, grapes
    Total syns planned - 3
    Have a good day all,
    Coxy

Denise so annoying isn't it? 😥 a couple of syns shouldn't have done that, but then i shouldn't have put on what i have 😥

I agree bubbs but it is what it is.  Just need to keep plodding as our Beanie says!  Will definitely be leaving the wine alone this week - as it seems to be the weeks where we drink wine that I put weight on even though I always syn it.  Spirits on the other hand I could drink the same number of syns and not put weight on (although I don't think I could actually drink that number of rum & ginger beers as I'd be really drunk and bloated, LOL!).

Glad to hear the dog's recovering from his grass chewing klew. You really are putting in the miles lately. I'm sure just getting out in the fresh air is good for you regardless of all the other benefits. 😊

It's probably only some more water retention denise. You're unlikely to have gained 2lbs of fat  almost overnight from a few extra syns. Good that you weren't relying on the figure to send to the consultant though. 😉

Ouch to your car beanie! I do hope nobody was hurt though.  I agree that Sainsbury's is overall  expensive, just thought it would be good to know that 200 items (including some SW friendly) are price matched to Aldi. I will get some thighs and prep them myself bubbs. I may buy some of each and try an experiment in cost per kg. 🤔

The risotto recipe is similar to how I do chicken jambalaya  in the oven but probably with a bit less liquid.  I like rice quite dry so have never fancied risotto as it looks sloppy. 🤔

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), HEB toast, HEA1 milk, scrambled eggs (P)
    L- LO casserole (P,S.F), pickled cabbage (S)
    D- SW Bolognese (P,S) with tagliatelle (F), HEA2 Parmesan
    Syns- HP sauce 1

Risotto rice isn't really very nice if it's overcooked as it loses it's creaminess.  I usually cook it for slightly longer than the recipe says as I find that the rice often takes a few minutes longer to get to the right creaminess stage, IYKWIM!

Hope the extra is just water retention especially as all the wine syns were right at the beginning of the week; had a couple of tonics with ice and lemon last night (no gin!) so maybe a little bit of bloating too.

I've redone my menu plan for the month (except this week which is looking exceptionally chicken heavy!)!  I definitely had kedgeree in too often - think it was in every week; have now reduced it to just twice more - once the week after next and then again right at the end of the month.
