I’m another that doesn’t buy the mixed fruit. I tend to buy raspberries, cherries and sometimes blueberries. I like the cherries in ff Greek yoghurt with 1/2 teaspoon of cacao and teaspoon maple syrup for 1 syn total. 👍January spends - £587.581

We're all different. I really like the sharpness of raspberries against the porridge, same with the black and red currants. 🤣
Do you buy the skin on thighs bubbs? I've been buying skinless, boneless. I wonder if it's worth prepping them myself. 🤔 I'm going to look at the chicken breasts in Sainsburys as they're price matched and the ones in Aldi are always so enormous.1 -
Denise~~Any chance of the recipie for the rissotto~~sounds lush.
bubbs~~Had an accident & hit two other cars.
I thought my car was going to written off but they decided to repair it. Then they discovered it needed more work.

Thanks for the heads up bubbs about the half price ham in Morries. I'll probably be going there early next week, hopefully it'll still be on offer.
I buy the boneless, skinless chicken thighs and breasts from The Food Warehouse (also Iceland). They need trimming a bit as there's usually a bit of fat on them but they're not a bad price.
Perhaps next time we go to the next town rather than the local one we'll give Sainsbury's a try as they're price matching Aldi on some things that I use.

I only have Sainsburys where I live.

Sorry beanie we must have posted about the same time last night so didn't see your post. It's a recipe from an old SW magazine - Jan/Feb 2020. It's really easy although there's a bit of prep necessary so you have to allow time for that too!
To serve 4 (I halved everything as not keen on freezing anything with rice or pasta in it):
Low cal spray
2 large leeks, finely sliced
500g courgettes, coarsely grated
2 garlic cloves, crushed
250g risotto rice
700 ml chicken stock (I used white wine stockpot!)
4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts, cut in bite sized pieces (I used thighs)
3 Tbs fat free natural Greek yoghurt
Juice of a lemon (I used bottled about 1 Tbs)
Fresh basil leaves to serve (I didn't have any so left off)
Preheat oven to 200/180 Fan/gas 6. Spray a wide lidded casserole dish with spray and place over medium heat. Add the leeks and courgettes and fry for 5-6 minutes, stirring often until softened. Add the garlic and fry for another couple of minutes. Add the rice and cook for 2-3 minutes until translucent.
Increase the heat and add the stock, stir everything together. Bring to a simmer and add the chicken & seasoning. Bring back to a simmer, stir, cover and put in oven for 10 minutes.
Remove dish from oven, give it another stir and return to the oven for 15 minutes uncovered, or until the rice is tender and most of the stock has been absorbed.
Remove from oven and stir through the yoghurt and lemon juice and serve. Top with a twist of black pepper and basil leaves.
Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
