Which baked beans do you buy denise? DH bought a tin from Lidl last week for us to try. We thought they were OK but a bit sweet and masses of sauce so we'll stick to our usual Waitrose own brand. I don't buy much from Waitrose but would recommend their beans. It's strange how baked beans have more or less maintained their price for a while but other pulses seem to have got much more expensive. 🤔 I have a bag of dried butter beans in the cupboard so I think I need to cook some up for the freezer. There was a time when the difference in price didn't make it worthwhile to cook my own but now I'm not so sure.
When you have your Babybel lights for a HEA, are you having 3 coxy? Your menu reads like just the one and I wouldn't want you to short change yourself. 😉
I'm going to make myself a stir fry for lunch and try just using some sweet chilli sauce with it. I've got Oyster sauce and 5 spice which I sometimes use but just not fancying them.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F),, 2 fried eggs (P), mushrooms and tomatoes (S), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- veggie stir fry (S), noodles (F)
D- savoury mince (P,S), new potatoes (F), carrots, greens (S)
Syns- sweet chilli sauce 11 -
Yes maman I have 3 x mini babybel lights. Annoyingly A!di sell them in nets of 10 rather than the 12 you get in other stores.
I like the A!di baked beans - corrale? Can't bear He!nz

maman - we used to buy the Lidl ones but like you thought they were getting sweeter and more saucy. We're buying Branston reduced salt and sugar ones at the moment. Not the cheapest but they're quite nice. Unfortunately we don't have a Waitrose anywhere near us. Our nearest is in the big John Lewis at Bluewater which is about 30 miles or so away or Canterbury in the opposite direction but a similar distance and that ones only a Little Waitrose so not a big selection of anything!
I bought 3 x 4 pack which fills up the space available for them in my larder cupboard. I keep a similar number of tins of tomatoes as well plus a couple of various other tins of things. Usually buy a multipack of tuna from time to time but the cans are getting so small now we end up using 2 tins at a time!

Glad to hear you're having your full complement of Babybel coxy. 😁It's irritating when pack sizes don't work. I always buy 2 packs of skinny sausages at a time so I can portion them in 4s. But you'd have to buy 3 packs of Babybel. 🤔 Quite a temptation. 😉
My stir fry was delicious. It was so easy to just raid the fridge for a range of veg. I'll definitely do that again. 😋1 -
