Oh nmm that's such a long way and 1-2 weeks stay?? Sounds horrendous. I hope that the wait for a date isn't too long for OH. I guess he just wants to get the procedure done and concentrate on recovering and feeling better. Sending socially distanced, virtual hugs to you both - it's not an easy time for you xx

No more stitching done - will probably pick up again tomorrow evening. QQ has anyone done felting? I have a little kit that I bought at a show a few years back. Wondering whether I should join an online tutorial first to get the technique right ??

Thank you coxy :) I haven't done any felting but i do have a beginners kit with different colour wool/fluff that i bought at a car boot like 2 years ago. Online tutorial or youtube would be the way to go, let us know if you make anything.

Good evening all. Congratulations on the Ta Dah for PLP and get you with being so organised with Rudolf and friends Coxy. I agree with nmm I like the eyes stitched in black. Nmm the junction is looking great. I hope that you’ve had a date for OH. How awful having to wait and then such a long trip.
Sorry for absence. A lot going on. I finally got fed up with feeling so tired that following persuasion from OH had a telephone call with GP. Have blood tests booked for Friday to rule out medical first. Work has been hard, hard, hard. MIL been in hospital again and we’ve cleaned and weeded at weekends. Tomorrow we are meeting at their home to plan care for her in the future.
I have now completed the top half of the wedding sampler for July. Photo is a few days out of date and bad shadow but you get the idea. Can I just say I may not need the second one! Very sad news from SIL and DIL , things not going well abroad at the moment. Never felted but my friend got a kit at Christmas from her daughter and did a brilliant job. Don’t think it’d be my strength, too arty for me. So glad it’s a shorter working week. Two days to go.

    Morning!
Bright and sunny here but a bit nippy. I did a 5k run earlier whoop.
nmm - hope OH is comfortable - any news on a date yet?
Charly - great progress on the sampler and sorry to hear you may not need the other one. Hopefully things will work out. Hope the blood tests go okay.
I have completed reindeer number 4 and started number 5. It's coming together fairly quickly but expect the border will be the challenge! No stitching tonight as we have a Teams meeting with DS2's school for options after 6th form (he's year 12 and should have been visiting unis now). I'd caught up with Sewing Bee but missed last nights programme as DH wanted to watch something else. He is out on Friday so will catch up then - no spoilers!
    Have a good day all

Coxy, i've been watching the Sewing Bee but can't get into this year, i couldn't tell you who any of them are, lol.

Charly, the wedding sampler is looking great, i'm sure the happy couple will cherish it.

Sorry i've not posted in a little while, still no word from Newcastle, he needs to go for a CT angiogram (30th May) to get his narrowed artery looked at, totally fed up of waiting now. On the crafting front i have completed the Gonk for my friend he measures 20cm sitting and 30cm standing, i was supposed to shape the beard but i don't want to mess it up so i'll leave it alone.

OMG nmm the gonk is fab! I LOVE IT. The beard looks fine as it is. Don't know how you can bear to give him away xx
That's disappointing that the wait continues for your OH. I hope you get some news soon xx
In crafting news I am now on to reindeer number 6 of 9. Made a bit of an error with it's hooves - they are all identical but I wasn't concentrating and did it wrong. Luckily I realised and corrected it. I've also changed the jacket for that one - same colours but striped instead of blue with white dots. There already one with blue and white dots so thought I'd change it up a bit. I just need to do the head and antlers and number 6 will be done.
Missed Sewing Bee last night so will watch on catch up tomorrow when DH is out. I like the French guy - he is very stylish. I don't know their names either!!
    Have a good day everyone,
    Coxy xx

The gonk is for my friends grandson to use instead of an elf on the shelf as they are scared of him  :D  Hate when you make a mistake, i usually fix them too. only 3 more reindeer to go not long now :)

    Hi everyone, happy Friday :)
Hope everyone is doing okay? Not much change here despite the restrictions lifting slightly. DH is going away this afternoon for a couple of nights camping. I'm off to a friends house for pizza and a catch up later. That's about it.
nmm - hope OH is doing okay. Love the gonk as an alternative to the Elf - they are a bit creepy!
Charly - hope all okay after your blood tests?
In crafting news, reindeer number 6 is complete and I've switched to the bottom border for a bit of respite. All the reindeer are the same except for the coats, so gets a bit samey. No stitching tonight but will do some over the weekend. Photo to follow from my phone.
I have a circular walk planned with DSis tomorrow - hopefully around 10k - need to finish before the weather turns! DH is taking a lot of my kit - well it's his really but he has my walking poles and sit mat, and his inflatable sleep mat, stove, cup, bowl, and towel. I need to replicate the weight of those things in my ruck sack. Might just load it with books to make it simpler!
Obviously it's Eurovision tomorrow night, so the world stands still for that - love it love it! Rest of the weekend will be usual housework and washing and maybe some garden tidying it I don't get blown away by the gales :)
    Write back with news!
    Coxy xx

Oh coxy, those reindeers are so cute :) My friend suggested a walk last Tuesday instead of our usual crochet catch up, we ended up walking 5.58 miles, my poor feet as i had crappy ankle boots on, must get some better shoes for next time, thoroughly enjoyed it. I've made a start on my mums birthday card not needed till July and i'm going to crochet a t-shirt yarn bag as i have tons of it. Still no appointments for OH, other dr's are chasing it up.
