Hello ladies, lovely sunny weather the last few days always makes you feel better :)  Would anyone like to join me in a Mother's Day CSAL (cross stitch a long)  I'm going to make a card just need to pick out a design, more fun to do it as a group. Managed some more on the junction, i've moved the fabric so can get some more big chunks of sky/clouds done. I noticed a mistake in the green at the top, i would normally unpick but i'm going to leave it which is very unlike me  :p

Hi all, hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend. Gorgeous weather in Norfolk. Went for a socially distanced walk with my bestie today, first time we have seen each other since mid December. Here’s my TaDa for Robin bookmarks. So pleased to finish these. I know one is going to my mum inside a copy of ‘The boy, the mole, the fox & the horse’ but not sure about the other. Yes count me in for MD CSAL nmm. I can’t see a mistake in the green!

Yay, love the bookmark, well done on the Ta-Da :) and pleased to have a CSAL buddy. In fairness its only 1 dark green stitch on the wrong row, but the other leaves have all light green at the bottom, so no-one but us know  ;)

Evening. I started one of the ‘I do’ samplers whilst I was waiting for Aida delivery to make Mother’s Day card. It’s literally just been delivered so I can decide on the design now nmm. How’s everything with you all?

Charly, starting a new project is so much fun, i still have all my update photos from old projects as its cool seeing them grow. I've made a start on my mums card, a simple bunch of sunflowers. My OH was due his PET-CT on Tues but the scanner broke down so its now on Saturday, we have the worst luck, i saw a good luck plant for sale the other day i might buy a dozen of them  :D

    Hi all,
Sorry for the radio silence. Just can't seem to catch a break and actually do some stitching. Work is so so busy right now and I'm pooped, so just sitting and vegging in front of the TV is enough for me. I managed about an hour on Monday. Loving the colours of PL Paris - like all the Satsuma Street designs, it's vibrant.
Love the second bookmark Charly - you've done a great job with the finishing. How exciting to be starting the samplers. Please post progress photos.
Annoying about the tiny mistake on The Junction nmm - but only you will know! I won't join the SAL for mothers day as I have already bought a card. Always have to really look hard to find one that isn't mushy, or saying things like 'thanks for everything you do for me' because she doesn't....! It's a bit of an odd relationship, but we bumble along. Sorry to hear that OH still hasn't had the CT scan but fingers crossed it will be done this weekend. Sending good healing vibes to him.
Right, that's my lunch break over, best get on with work so I can finish at a decent time!

Nmm hope the PET-CT scan goes well tomorrow. Sorry to hear that you’ve been swamped at work. I’ve been super tired and just want to sleep. I’m taking some more annual leave at Easter and can’t wait. I’ve stitched a little bit more on the sampler and made a start on MD stitch along. The top of the photo is me transferring a photo on Pinterest to graph paper. A bit rough and ready I know. If it stitches up fast might do one for MIL.

Charly, that's a creative way to do your card, cute mouse :) I finished mine but not sure if its too simple, what do you guys think? Spoke to my friend about Yarndale and she's up for it, lets hope it goes ahead as planned.

Morning nmmI think it’s lovely, simple yes but not easy. Would work well for birthdays too. I’ll post a mouse update later. Coxy the message about work was for you! So tired I kept making mistakes. Hope you’re well and some time for yourself this weekend.

    Hiya,
Great cards for MD. Agree with Charly nmm, that the card is lovely - sure your Mum will be thrilled with it.
No stitching last night as video called DMum and then watched a documentary with Ben Fogle where he visited Chernobyl. Very interesting if you can catch it - think it was C4?
I'm home alone as DH has gone to tip/DS1s house/DIY store. I have the house to clean though so no time to sit and stitch :( Maybe tonight??  Will post a photo of where I've got to.
Think Yarndale are waiting to see what's possible nmm. I've booked a bnb in any case and can cancel without charge by mid-June. I remember when I tried booking before and couldn't get a hotel in Skipton itself, so thought I'd get in early! Let's keep our fingers crossed.
