Old Style Weight Loss 2021 - Quarter 1
Comments
-
Hi checking in with an sts this week, but am happy with that as it means I have kept my loss from last week, and I really haven't been exercising much. My sleep was really off for a couple of days and I am struggling with the whole work from home situation as motivation has just been dropping. So am mainly focussing on healthy eating and sleep for this next week. (and the next lb).Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Oh Jules, you poor love. May I make a suggestion? You know yourself better than anyone else, but you seem to be aiming quite high.
I would hate for you to make a stupendous effort, fail to meet your target and beat yourself up over it. If I have learned anything over a lifetime weight battling it is, it is much better to underestimate what you are capable of, then, if you pass your target with time to spare you will feel SO pleased with yourself.
You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the next step.
We will all be with you, cheering you on.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Morning All
Welcome Jules81 it's good to have a goal in place like the Lego land trip, helps keep you on track I think, Monnagran , is right though, maybe smaller losses to aim for are more satisfying, don't be too hard on yourself, this a lovely group, very supportive ❤️I'm weighing in with a loss of -1.5lb this week, not recouping last weeks gain, but I've decided to be kind to myself and be happy with each loss, despite what came before.
Work has been busy, as usual and we have now increased our work hours again so I need to take my lunch with me again so planning a bit of batch cooking this weekend.
Have been on my exercise bike everyday so far this week, no week with ds tomorrow we are planning a longer one down to, and around the park on Saturday instead this week.
Today's meals
B fruit
L probably pasta salad
D pork and apple burgers with roasted veg, dd requested brioche buns which are a little calorific but it will be my only bread til Sunday.ditty, I really struggled working from home, I think routine is key, treat it like you're leaving to go to work and put a routine in there, I found there might be a whole week where I realised I'd not left the house once xx
Thanks to Brambling, for all your hard work keeping us on track 👏'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess

Welcome Jules I've added you to the chart if you want me to amend your target let me know
I agree with the others re chunking out the weight, there's a quote I've used before which goes "there is only one way to eat an elephant: a bite at a time” which I think is appropriate for many of us
You'll find a lot of support on here
Sirens / Ditty I'm another one who finds working from home challenging, we are very busy at work and I'm working late most nights as my manager says it's not like we can do anything elseI've realised that other than going to T Express for milk last Friday I haven't been out this week
my sister whose in my support bubble popped around on Saturday but I've realised I haven't spoken to anyone face to face since then. It's easy for the days to merge into one, hopefully this darn rain will stop and I can get a walk in at the weekend.

Thank you all 💜 sorry my head is a pure mess. I struggle with serve mh issues ( unfortunately been in psychiatric hospital a number of times) maybe 14 lbs would be a better goal-thats a stone
I've struggle with an eating disorder before now - I dont want to put what as would hate to trigger anyone)
I've actual contacted my gp, she rang today, they are thinking about sending mr to Luton and dunstable ( I am in Norfolk) to refer to for weight loss surgery. I KNOW that is NO way an easy rd. I've done 12 months of weight management-at my local hospital. But gained it all ( and more ) again.
Anyway thank you all for a warm welcome. Just cooking tea with my PA. Gammon and carrot and pot waffles and peas
Take care all stay safe xxx9
