Good evening, AllWelcome new joiners! 👋
Brambling I second monna’s thanks 💐
Wow! Frith!! You do look very trim - good going 👏👏👏Just weighing-in with a non-wrinkly STS - taking it steadily, hoping it’ll stay off.
I’ve missed a couple of days of menus, so won’t bore you all with a mega-catchup.
Today’s Delicious Delights were
B - porridge with blueberries
D - sage-crusted pork chop baked with parsnip and onion, served with peas; stewed apple and yogurt

Morning
I was only going to weigh myself once I month so I don't get too obsessed about jumping on the scales every 5 minutes. Having only lost 1lb last month I think I need to be a bit more obsessed!! From now on, I'm going to do weekly weigh ins and hope that has more of an impact on my weight loss!
It's better to beg forgiveness than ask permission.9 -
1lb off for me after being awol last week. I’m normally really good for the first few weeks of healthy eating then call spectacularly off the wagon but I really need to do this this time. So I’m back on it again and hoping for at least another 4lbs off in February.Well done to everyone on the losses!xx10

Morning all , I wasn’t going to log my weight for the next couple but thought oh go for it, face it. Anyway a STS so not as bad as expected. Me and hubs went for a 2 mile walk yesterday. My first day properly outside for about 14 days so although cold it was lovely. Both a bit tired especially hubs. I don’t think he expected to feel as tired as he was. Any way it’s a start. Hopefully build up running outside from next week. DF starting to mend although very fatigued, his isolation finishes on Thursday so hopefully he will feel better. I have to say although I haven’t had the virus the worry about those that have has had an affect and my eating pattern has been blah! Onwards and upwards. 😁

Hi All, I meant to check in on Friday, but completely forgot. My back is on the mend, so I'm hoping to start running this week, but in the meantime I've started walking to the shops rather than taking the car. Its a 2 mile round trip so I have to make sure the backpack isn't too heavy - I got some extra milk yesterday when I did the big shop as that's always a killer.
I hopped on the scales this morning, well tentatively stepped onAnd I'm pleased to report that I've lost 1.5lb. It means I've lost .5lb this quarter (putting on a pound at the beginning wasn't the best start). I think the walking has definitely helped, and I've been a bit more mindful about my eating - treating myself to something other than food when I'm in need of a comfort break. I also treated myself to some crystalised ginger - having a nibble on that satisfies a sweet craving, but you can't eat a whole bag in one go (luckily).

Morning All,
KatyLovesCats Well done for the STS and I hope you're over the vaccine reaction soon.
Sirens Sorry for the gain but well done for looking at the positive that you're still lighter than at the start of the challenge. I hope you enjoyed the takeaway and weren't too tempted by the brownies.
Need2bthrifty Well done for the loss, especially if you were worried about having had more carbs.
SezzaF Welcome and good luck
Frith Well done for the loss, the pictures show just how much of a difference it's making.
Brambling It's amazing how food can magically appear in the oven. Mine seems to make brownies for no apparent reason
ditty I'm not sure how to celebrate weight loss (celebrations always tend to involve food for me) but I definitely wouldn't choose an 8 mile run!!
Cranky Well done on the loss and it doesn't matter how odd meals are as long as you enjoy them.
zippy Well done on the loss. It may not be going as quickly as you'd like but the fact that it's heading in the right direction is the main thing.
TC77 Well done for the STS, especially when you still had Christmas food to use up.
roblou Well done for the STS and I hope your husband and DF continue to improve.
monnagran Well done for the STS.
Its_time Well done for the STS.
Blue Doggy Well done for the STS.
Miss_Behaving Well done on the loss and good luck for weighing more frequently but not getting obsessed with it.
tryingtoavoiddebt Well done on the loss
SandyShores Well done for the loss and I'm glad your back's on the mend.
I'm weighing in this week with a STS. Other than some chocolate orange brownie yesterday (which was lunch so, while not healthy, not bad calorie-wise) I've been eating well and exercising so I was a bit disappointed but I seem to remember my weight sticking a bit last time I started C25K so I'll just keep on keeping on as the only way to guarantee I won't lose anything is to give up.
Best of luck and stay safe everyone xx12 -
Thanks Izadora. My weight sticks for 3 weeks usually when I start the C25K. It's probably my body going into shock
My aim this week is to make my small meals a bit more normal than they have been. Breakfast was a slice of toast with jam but no butter. No idea about lunch yet - maybe some soup and a flatbread - but dinner will be some steamed rice, some chicken chopped up in sweet and sour sauce and maybe a couple of low fat oven chips. If I lose weight too quickly it will just add to the gallstone problem.8
