Commiserations to Gallant Gainers 😢😢😢
I had a hospital eye appointment today, diagnosis glaucoma & the beginnings of cataracts. Very depressing, so I needed two jam doughnuts (one per eye) with couple of cups of tea to cheer me up a bit. Ho hum, this getting older business has its downsides ... 😱
So, today’s food was
B : porridge
L : corned beef salad; yogurt
D : lamb, green beans, leek, cauliflower; yogurt
S : two jam doughnutsStay safe, wishing you all well through Storm Christoph.“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Tea - broccoli and cauliflower cheese
Exercise was 3 hours in the forest, helping my older son build a camp.7 -
Blue, sorry about the eyes, no laughing matter. Hopefully they've caught the Glaucoma early enough to be able to do something about it. As to cataracts, I think that is so common that they don't take it seriously until they are really....ripe, is the word I've heard used.
I've also heard that they are trialling jam doughnuts for the treatment of eye problems. You have obviously volunteered as a guinea pig. xI believe that friends are quiet angels

I undestand the need for doughnuts Blue
I was diagnosed with small cataracts in August, the optician wasn't that concerned but I was. I have a close family with glaucoma so have to have yearly free eye checks.

Morning all, hey ho, hubs test was positive. So he’s got the bedroom, he does feel rough bless him. DF will now stay in the back bedroom and I get the run of downstairs. Think the horse might have bolted but trying to do the right thing. However that does mean I am chief cook and bottle washer...😳. So I will try to do the right thing, stay healthy and do some movement. To be honest one of the reasons I started to run last August was to get my lungs into better shape, to feel fitter generally and to help improve my mental health. Went for a walk with dog and ds2 earlier on break, apart from that glued to screen, contemplating detaching myself now!

Sorry to hear about dh roblou27, hope he makes a speedy recovery x
Blue, think jam doughnuts were definitely required ❤️Well work day for me
B porridge with 1/2 milk 1/2 water, pear and sprinkling of seeds a tsp of maple syrup
Tummy was rumbling by 1 so 2 small bananas and a cereal bar to tide me over til dinner, was glad to see my new flask had arrived so I can make some soup to sip at work next week, we don't get a lunch break but I can have soup by my desk.
D was a bit weird, the kids have oven chips and chicken nuggets on a Wednesday, (it's the one frozen meal they have weekly) but I had forgotten to get anything out for me so I had tinned potatoes airfried, with some gravy (I'd got a freebie 2 pot) green beans and 2 boiled eggs, I know, but I really enjoyed it!
Might have some rice pudding later is I'm still peckish (made with almond milk)
Also weigh in today -6lb think that's my whoosh weight still real chuffed though 😊'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess
