Charity Shopping - bargains galore for 2021!

Nothing much of interest to be found today til I was nosying through a box of odds and ends in the community shop and found a gorgeous, big, hand blown glass tree bauble by R & J Glass still in it's presentation box.  Swirly pattern of streaks of grey, orange, white & yellow in the glass and really heavy.  It was priced alongside some rather plain glass baubles from Sainsbury's but they were all priced at 75p each.  Couldn't resist it.  Just found the range online and they are selling at £24.95!

In local age uk CS I got a emerald green long zip up jacket by cotton traders brand new with label still attached. Original price in shop £49.00 I paid £8.50 in CS.

Wow, bargain of the week there. I'd love to see it, (hint).  Every second double glazing firm in the UK seems to be called R & J Glass so I couldn't find any of their creations to gaze at online. I do hope Albert doesn't take a scunner at it when you hang it on your tree.

A friend from Canada bought me a glass bauble by Benjamin Chee Chee, a native artist who painted Canada geese a lot.
I decided it was far too nice to only see for a few weeks a year so I bought a stand for it and it is with my glass perfume bottles.

I also bought a Waterford crystal one last year:

Miro - if it's really nice (and it sounds like it is), I'd display it.

Mine is hanging off the wooden curtain rail in the spare bedroom.

A pair of thick M&S treggings in a brown square check pattern. Lovely fabric, look unworn. I think they are treggings rather than leggings as they have a feature side zip. £3.99 Oxfam

3 boxes of Thorntons dark chocolates, only 8 chocs but delectable sounding - Sicilian mousse, Seville caramel etc. On the cusp of best before date but only 50p per box. Will polish off before the end of the festive season.

A TUI 3/4 sleeve jersey short dress in a Rennie McIntosh design, very colourful. £2.99 BHF

And...

...a glass Christmas bauble for £25.00.

To put this into perspective, it's a brand new in box with label & ribbon attached Waterford Crystal one and I've seen one very similar on Amazon for £103.73.

I am an idiot!!!  It is 'D & J Glassware'!!!!  So soz for the confusion.  Anyhoo, here is the bauble tho it looks much nicer in real life than in the pic. Not as elegant as Pollycat's!   I noticed that the company sell stands on their website too Pollycat.



Regret to say that Albert shuffled off to the Rainbow Bridge a couple of months ago  .  Still miss the little blighter but he was 18 years old, or thereabouts, so he had a good innings.

And a TU navy top similar style. £2.50. These are great for wearing with patterned leggings. 

I was very pleased to find a vivid pink top like the navy TU one for £2.00 Air Ambulance.

Not very Christmasy so I feel justified in having it on display all year.

The black one with poppies on is Okra glass, the other a random purchase from a charity shop.
I have a few by Okra, Isle of Wight glass, Alum Bay (IoW) glass and Robert Held glass (Canada) plus some odd ones. They are perfume bottles but all unused.
