DigForVictory said:And for the comically shaped, like myself, it's charity shops All The Way looking for garments I can re-tailor for the short. No designer ever bothered with the under 5'4" menopausal (can't imagine why...) , so I can skip a lot of sartorial anxieties & chase bolts of cloth instead. Says she with two suit lengths awaiting a really good pattern & a lot of nerve, and thinking it's as well the lads aren't contemplating matrimony yet as with my luck I'll be shorter than the bridesmaids. In the Traditional Hat, I will resemble a (hopefully smartly turned out) mushroom...
That said, I love the January finds of Christmas gift sweaters the intended chaps did not make wardrobe space for... I can usually get matching mittens from the extra sleeve length too.

Ludlow today, Ty Gobaith.
Joules t shirt, “Nessa” design, white with blue stars. £3.50 as new.
Lots of good stuff today but I didn’t need much. I also went to the new Bill’s Kitchen on the square, for anyone who goes to Ludlow. I needed a replacement cafe for the Olive Branch.7 -
Popped into the BHF shop today and found a vintage Aquascutum quilted jacket in camel. Soon as I touched it I felt it was quality so was not surprised to see the makers label, priced at £8.99. Put it through the washer and it now looks pristine. I already have a skirt in the Aquascutum check and a t-shirt with the neck & sleeves bound with the check, (all chazza finds),…..praps a little OTT to wear all together!! Also got a B/N Hobbs top in navy with fluted sleeves in georgette fabric, priced at £2,95….a little research indicates it originally sold at £69!5

Floss said:Potternerd, I wear wide-legs with Converse or brogue-type flat lace-ups - might be an option to consider?
I bought a white Naracamice fitted shirt for £4. I have another in a different style. They look really smart but I need to wear those Peaky Blinder type armbands as the sleeves are really long. Luckily I have a pair bought in the early nineties when they were in fashion.7 -
A trip to my favourite 99p St Gemma's Hospice shop - came home with a pair of Clark's, very lightly worn shoe boots in black and a Coast peach georgette top, BNWT, and price tag of £49.
Couldn't help noticing lots of people not wearing face masks in shops

Very nearly bought the Yorkshire Shepherdess A Year in the life book for £2 in hardback but left it..... Might regret that...
Next time out, I need to search out some jumpers and vest tops for underneath, and some plain pots of some sort.Wealth is not measured by currency6 -
From Air Ambulance 'everything £2.00 shop' a M&S Autograph sleeveless dress in heavy pale grey jersey with grey piping down the front seams and round the neck. Fully lined, great quality, looks unworn.
Is it me though? Almost 20 years ago would have been a fab office dress. Will try with different shoes/boots - I have a great pair of Doc Mart shoes in pale grey.
From Oxfam a pair of BNWT (£19.50) black/silver sparkly leggings. £6.99.
