Is it me though? Almost 20 years ago would have been a fab office dress. Will try with different shoes/boots - I have a great pair of Doc Mart shoes in pale grey.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

It really is a fabulous quality dress.
I've returned the leggings, they were to baggy on the legs.
But... bought a fab Boden cardigan, 45% silk/45% cashmere/10% elastane. £4.50 local hospice.
I have a dress that it will go perfectly with.

Great buys. Was excited today to find a lovely pair of velvet trousers £5. Bought, took home and tried on. Too short! Oh well I can return them and will keep looking5

Not managed to get to any shops despite being off work for most of the week. But the OH has! Well he had to as it was my birthday and he was shocked last year when he realised how much silk scarves cost brand new so he's got a bit canny about it and knows I won't be offended by something from the charity shops.
So he bought me a nice big shawl - White Company (still with a Oxfam shop tag showing £12.99) huge thing, multi coloured - exactly the sort of thing I like to wear to work where you never know if it will be tropical or artic. Must have been a summer offering as there's nothing similar on their website now. I think it's brand new - certainly no hint of perfume or other odour which you can get on some scarves - I've bought a few in the past that def smelled of little old lady....
Also - from The Dog's Trust .... he found a little pocket mirror with an enamel cover, still in it's little bag in the box it was sold in. The enamel has the poster for Le Chat Noir which is nice. I've got a couple of mugs with the same picture so he new it would be a hit....even though we have never actually owned a chat noir, only tabbies most recently and a gray and white decades back.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. You're a star!
I couldn't find a black polo neck but I bought a maroon New Look one from Save the Children for £1.00.
That looks good with the dress and maroon opaque tights and my Doc Mart pale grey Chelsea boots.
I did find a navy one and a teal one in Primark for £5.00 each and they look good too (only had black in XS). I have tights in navy & teal.
I also bought a fab pair of Lucy Locket Loves exercise leggings in green with dragons and crescent moon on for £2.00 Air Ambulance.
Activewear - Full & Capri – Lucy Locket Loves
They do really bright patterns but are a bit pricy (£33.00).
And a pink glass perfume bottle for £3.00 local hospice.
Caught 3 buses and went into lots of charity shops and through a shopping mall and most people were wearing masks.10 -
Been a bit AWOL lately, but I've been in my locals like three times a week, it's very much a calming, self care 'me time' thing for me to do after kids go to school/nursery.
I've now lost about 3st since July and some of my staple skinnies and jeggings (18&20s) are actually too big, have found multiple £2 a pair replacements (16s) in 2-3 of our town's shops, which is great. I've even bought skirts as I'm not fighting into tights like I was. (*NB I don't care if skinnies are 'out of fashion', they suit me much better than wider legged bottoms let alone the comfort of my stretch ones/jegging when I'm dealing with a 3 & 5 year old and walking in all weathers everyday. I'm 40, I'll wear what I want to wear thank you very much fashiony peoples!)
Other recent bits included Lands End, Joules as well as M&S tops/thin jumpers all £2 each.
Yesterday, my inner dressing up nerd spotted an amazing thick cloak-coat, with arm slits that look like pocket edges and a full hood, it's knee length, with three big buttons down the front from the neck. It was £4 and once I gave it a more thorough going over at home, I'm pretty sure it's home made. No labels at all, the lining isn't sitiched to the outer at the bottom and you can see all the cutting, edging and button stitching etc inside beteween the layers. They've interlocked the edges before doing a basic straight machine stitch but, highly suspect homemade/handmade with sewing machine. It's amazing, makes me look like I should be teaching at Hogwarts *laughs*Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Jan 2012: £16,000+ [STRIKE] Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Sep 2013: £13,023 [/STRIKE]

St Richards Hospice in Worcester today.
White Stuff dress, £8. When I got home, realised it still had the spare buttons attached in a little bag so I think it is brand new.
Tried to buy a single cup coffee press but they wanted £9 for it so I said no!
