Sayschezza said:Burgundy Hobbs dress BNWT £1. Two other dresses by Gerry Webber which are a bit snug but hopefully by next year I will be a little slimmer so worth keeping them as they were also only £1 each.
I bought a Paraphrase top/shirt (the sort you wear not tucked in) with gold buttons for £3.50. It looks like it had come from TKMaxx. Identical on eBay £4.50 (used, slight pull on front).
And a TU navy top similar style. £2.50. These are great for wearing with patterned leggings.
Both from Scope.

Another 4 books for £1 and two delightful hive shaped glass jars, with a blue tinge with metal hanger for 50p each - they remind me of wasp catcher jars, or they may have been votives for a candle but all clean. I plan on making candles in them myself, and they may be gifted out.Wealth is not measured by currency8

Been looking for a traditional oversized Aran sweater for ages but haven't found one even in a proper shop. My local community chazza shop always has a big box of assorted knitting wools and today, on top were 3 bags of mixed wools but each with several 100g balls of Emu traditional Aran100%wool and also several balls of 'curly wool', (I assume someone had started knitting something but had given up and unravelled it and just dumped the remaining unused wool as well as the 'curly wool at the charity shop). Have now hanked the curly wool and soaked it in warm water to straighten it. Now to find a pattern. Haven't done any knitting for yonks so this is going to be a real challenge.....might keep me amused over the forthcoming seasonal festivities though which will be rather subdued again this year. The bags of wool were £3 each but I will have loads of other wools to play around with too. Now where did I put my blooming' knitting needles??? Oh, also got a pair of grey George jeans from the £1 rail too.10

I've just seen this MSE article about renting clothes. It caught my attention as I'd like to reduce how much stuff I've got, but the prices are eye-watering if you are used to finding good quality clothes at a fraction of the price from the chazzer. So I'll stick with my current MO.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.10 -
