I am surrounded by stuff but didn't realise quite how much until I had to decant my living areas and kitchen.Whereabouts, and when? - and I will fill you in on the best ones. Actually had a bargain today. Lovely baby outfit £1 and 2 pairs frilly nappy covers bib and sun hat - another £1. Cats Protection. Surprisingly with all the donations the charity shops are supposed to be getting there are no bargains in my area. Prices are sky high7

And I really don't need any more bags.5

I simply had to show you this Stellar 24cm sauté pan that I snapped up for £7.99 at the BHF shop this lunchtime.
That's the bottom and the inside of the lid.
That's the inside of the body and the top of the lid.
I know I got a bargain compared to the new price of about £50 or so but I still think it ought to have been cleaned before it was donated.
Off to the kitchen sink to start cleaning it now, expect me when you see me!4 -
@goldfinches - I guess you'd have to be a cook to feel the love for that pan!No man is worth crawling on this earth.

Sayschezza - I'm intrigued but guessing from the cup shape you've something of the Sovereign shape (1990s on & frankly elegant) or later but the definite identification is in the detail...
Pollycat! Help me! I think I’ve lost my mind - I *Bought* Greenwheat [yes the antique dealers dream, the swine to store as it rubs, mid p76]. From a charity shop, (d.g. not a dealer) but a teapot, cream jug, cruet of salt pepper & I think mustard, & 5 teacups & saucers. I hadn't cuddled the teapot before (I never said my testing was wholly logical, Denbyholism is not subject to much rational conduct) or felt the teacup just sit in my hand. The Acquiz Committee has even approved (nay, Suggested) hunting teaplates & a sugarbowl to achieve an afternoon tea set!
I managed to walk away from an Encore teapot (aka Dauphine top right p92 but Colouroll reused the design on the new shapes hence Encore, anyway already got one) & a set of coffeepot jug salt & sugarbowl in Greystone (tiny but perceptible chips, on the Colombia shape bottom right p 93) & even a Denby classic flan dish (they wanted a fiver for it & the Acquiz Committee was not minded to nod it through, despite permitting the Greenwheat!) Even looked & hiked past half a dozen Rondo cups & saucers...Youngest has been ordered out clothes shopping (the T shirts he still fits in are ones clearly familiar from the camping trip 3 years ago) but to make sure, I bought half a dozen shirts in a buy-3-get-1 free at a charity shop wanting to shift stock. (Bless ‘em still fully covid secure with masks mandatory, limited client numbers & sanitiser at three points - they’re defending their volunteers tooth & nail! Rightly.) Either youngest will go about sharply dressed or I have the fabric to make a strip quilt. I can’t lose, as the quilt is practice and intended for the comfort & wellbeing of his future pup. Just I’ve never made one before & wasn’t going to splash out on new fabric when shirts are a pound a pop…
Awed at how stunningly well dressed you are - and yes, I too hunt scarves but mainly as a lovely silk scarf is a hard-to-go-wrong-with present. Even my vegan relations tend to overlook matters, as why be churlish over a gift which is possibly older than they are & anyway sweet against the skin & beautiful? So I get scolded for wrapping materials instead.7 -
*Waves weakly from post Covid sickbed* Apologies for recent absence - despite being double vacc'd and ultra careful I succumbed and unlike our dear sainted Mr Javid who made a miraculous recovery in a week I was not so fortunate!! Anyhoo, twas lovely to chazza shop vicariously through all of your lovely finds.
Goldfinches, I agree that Stella pan should have had at least a rudimentary clean before being put out for sale but having owned a set of Stella's for 25 years, (fab replacements for horrid Le Creuset set!) I just know it will come up like new with a bit of steel wool and scouring powder! (Any chance of an 'after' pic?)9
