Nipped into the Sobell House charity warehouse in Bicester this morning, and although these aren’t jaw-dropping bargains they are things I have been after for a while: a brand new 8 cup Boden coffee press (£2), a set of four knickerbocker glory sundae glasses (£1.50) and a selection of new cross stitch kits - very large ones, with 18 count Aida in assorted colours - for £1 each. I only wanted these for the Aida fabric, not the patterns, and the threads are just a bonus!6

It's nice that someone's stash of craft supplies can be loved by someone.C_J said:Nipped into the Sobell House charity warehouse in Bicester this morning, and although these aren’t jaw-dropping bargains they are things I have been after for a while: a brand new 8 cup Boden coffee press (£2), a set of four knickerbocker glory sundae glasses (£1.50) and a selection of new cross stitch kits - very large ones, with 18 count Aida in assorted colours - for £1 each. Had to return three tops that neither fitted nor flattered to the BHF shop today so had a prowl around just in case there was something else I'd like in exchange and snapped up Deborah Gray's 500 vegan dishes for £2. That was very good value for recipes for vegan fudge and concocting one's own egg replacer among other things.6

Oh ratty poos....... help please! Bought a pair of M & S linen trousers BNWT's at a Cancer Research Shop in North Yorks today. Priced at £7.99 but don't fit very well. Can I return them to a CR shop nearer home ... ie West Yorks or do they have to go back to the shop of purchase? I don't normally retiurn stuff but this seems a hefty price to write off!. Anyone know what their policy is please?4

My younger son and I are having 2 days holiday later this week. We were pondering what we were going to put our stuff in and it looked like we would be using a bag for life! Not much good on the train...
Kemp Hospice, Kidder today. New, £6.

It’s my hat but my younger son wore it for an England match (which we won) so it’s now his lucky hat and he wears it for every match!Pollycat said:Frith said:My younger son and I are having 2 days holiday later this week. Bargains have been non existent over the last two weeks but finally, today, in the CRUK clearance store I found a smashing pair of M & S navy with fine white pinstripe tapered leg trousers with an ankle split at the side. No tags but appear new and priced at £3. Lovely fit, no waistband so a nice flat effect on the fitted waist and so so comfy as a mix of cotton/polyester/viscose and elastane. Probably a little thick & warm for summer so might have to wait to wear them.6
