Just back from a very pleasant overnight stay in Harrogate. Not as weighed down with purchases as I hoped but delighted with what I got:
A Joules blue and white striped raincoat with hood £11 which has already come in handy as it started chucking it down.
Blue Converse boy’s sweatshirt material long shorts (for me) £2
And my best purchase a khaki coloured Topshop jumpsuit/boiler suit £7. I took a punt on a size 10 and if fits perfectly. OH who can be a bit critical even approved!8 -
Found next bigger size dress up outfits for DD for £2 each in the local Willow shop, Elsa, Anna and what I think is actually the Keira Knightly ball gown from Pirates of the Carribean but I'm sure DD will just deem it to be Belle from Beauty and the Beast, it's yellow/gold. They'd also stuck the cape from the Elsa dress onto the Anna dress but as I found both items I was happy it wasn't actually missing!Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Jan 2012: £16,000+ [STRIKE] Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Sep 2013: £13,023 [/STRIKE]
DRO Completed: 30/09/2014 :T
30/09/19 - Details now dropped off debt register.

Just because I think we all need a chuckle every now and again, here is a photo a friend of mine took when they were feeding a goose family on the riverbank this week.
This is one of seven goslings that looked to be about three to four weeks old and were all very keen on being fed water bird pellets.9 -

I used to buy a LOT of stuff online from Oxfam, but the new website seems to have been an excuse to put the prices way up, so I'm buying more from eBay via PayPal.7

In another universe, I can swap my brain into a Miro shaped body & can wear her wardrobe…
In yet another, I can differentiate between Disney princesses at all (Princess Leia bring the geeky exception)!
However, in this one I’m married to a genius. We had just a few minutes to kill, waiting for Ma-in-law, so he dived into a local cs in Wyke (outskirts of Bradford) & emerged with a Denby homestead brown 3/4 Pt teapot (exactly as in Hopwood’s Denby Pottery book p82!, Pollycat), 3 Imperial Blue tea cups, a Denby Atlantic blue sugarbowl & milk jug & 3 saucers that could be Atlantic or Imperial blue. (Talk about sibling patterns, the Atlantic sugarbowl is Imperial outside, pale blue inside, not imperial white!) All with change from a tenner. If I weren’t so blissed out cuddling the teapot, I’d be awed.

@Potternerd that jumpsuit sounds fabulous! No way would I fit a size 10 in Topshop, though, so your purchase is safe from the Magpie.
I was in charity shop heaven yesterday - in a town where there are 10 or 12 of them - and some are amazing - really individual and boutique-y. A couple haven't even reopened yet and I barely had time to skim the surface. As ever I managed to truffle out a few new-to-me brands:
A t-shirt from Gudrun Sjoden. 100% cotton in lime green and white stripes. Really lovely quality and fit. £4.99 from Oxfam.
A beautiful 100% cotton white shirt with silver sparkly thread detail. The brand is Indi and Cold: https://www.indiandcold.com/world/
Beware if you head to their website as it starts playing music at you! Anyway, I was intrigued by the shirt as the label says Indi and Cold is based in San Sebastian in Spain - a part of the world I love. Shirt was £6 from a hospice shop; looking at the prices online I think we can say it was a bargain. :-)
And finally a long cotton shift dress/tunic with buttons down the front. This is from Des Petits Haus, another pricey European brand. It was £9. Picture on Insta if anyone wants to see!
Hope everyone is having lovely weekends. M100 xx8 -

I'd have been more awed & ebullient, but I was cuddling the teapot - is it really only Denby who make pieces that just snuggle into your hands? Or (with a certain amount of care) lap? Sure, shape designs change but some of the shapes just sit elegant then near-purr when handled...
