I'm sure there are much worse addictions than chasing bargains in chazza shops
. I wasn't intending going anywhere near one today but *ahem* after doing a bit of grocery shopping I told myself a little extra walking would do me good so I found myself at the big CRUK warehouse shop. Came home with an M & S fitted linen jacket in a 'natural' shade, in hardly worn condition, for £3. It will be perfect for wearing over sleeveless summer dresses as a change from a cardi. Also got a Phase Eight shifty stylee dress in shades of navy and turquoise...also £3.

Today I got a J Taylor maxi skirt black/beige for £3. Washed it when I got home and the overskirt is now shorter than the lining. It's drying on a hanger so I'm hoping it will drop into place when dry.
I also got a white stuff sleeveless blouse blue/white for £3.All that clutter used to be money6 -
Well, who knew? I've been staying out of charity shops because I really don't actually need anything much. But last night, my mother's care home rang me to say that she seems to have "grown out of" all her clothes, apparently due to eating too much soup; she's quite adamant that it's the soup that caused this, not the cake and/or biscuits that seem to feature on the menu several times a day! So some new things have duly been ordered, but today, on another errand, DD2 & I stopped into a couple of charity shops. They never have much in our sizes, probably because other people got there first, but they had some very nice things in Mum's new size on the £1 or 99p rails - a nice blue Indian skirt with the obligatory elasticated waist, two pretty tops in styles she likes, and a wonderfully soft long-sleeved patterned t-shirt. So some extra finery will be winging its way to her for almost nothing! I suspect she'll prefer it to the "official" elderly clothing too.Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)10

Have filled the car boot with donations. A large amount of toys and books that DS and DD have fully grown out of, some items of mine that I just don't wear or no longer work with my post-children shape and style (I'm 40 in a couple of months, not that I care but there were a few bits I just know I won't wear again!) and some boots I wasn't able to take back when I found that they were a bit tight etc.

Very happy with today's find - pair of brand new Gola black mock-croc trainers for £7, a bit pricey for charity shop but as they still had labels on, I figured it was worth it. Also got a purple sleeveless silk top for £3, hopefully we'll eventually get the weather for it but I can wear it with a thin cardigan over it in the meantime.8

... NEXT pink glitter jelly sandals with the original sticker labels still in them, new, for DD for a £1 as well last week, she found those herself, she's only three!5 -
@Rosa_Damascena I agree, it IS therapeutic! and as @Miró says, there are worse things to be addicted to!
Great to read everyone's spring bargains. @Lucy5781 I really want some glitter jelly shoes now! I suspect I'll struggle to find any in my size...
I've been sorting out some more donations as well and trying to follow a one-in, one-out policy. And I don't have any money now until pay day at the end of next week, so I shall keep myself out of trouble for the next few days by enjoying what I have. Happy weekend all!7 -
It was just by chance I popped into the BHF shop briefly as they are getting a lot of new donations in at the minute.
Picked up a white ribbed short sleeved top for £3. The brand is M+S
Struck lucky for the charity auction im involved with. A big Bulldog Christmas smellie set for £2. Checked it out when I got home and it normally retails for £15.
Also a glitter frame, brand is Claire’s for £1.50, also for the charity auction. Was very pleased with my goodies.
