I just went to two charity shops for the first time in ages!
They had a lot of winter stuff which surprised me. I thought I may as well get some jumpers as the cold spell we had in the winter made me think that I don't have enough warm clothes.
I got a dark grey F&F jumper, a red New Look jumper and a Clockhouse at C&A black cardigan with fringe around the neck. In the other one I bought a silver cushion for my bedroom and a black and white long sleeved Primark top.
It was all less than £10.

Had a trundle around the charity shops of Northallerton yesterday. Was sorely tempted by a b/n M & S white linen skirt priced at £5.99. Would have snapped it up had it been any colour but white! In another shop I spotted a burgundy leather handbag displayed on it’s own. It looked good quality even from a distance so I legged it across the store to investigate. Make was Demellier which rang a very muffled bell. Priced at £9.95....could not resist feeding my handbag addiction* so I snapped it up. Interweb investigation tells me that it was originally priced at £300-ish and one is currently selling on Vestiaire for £150!

Hi - delurking here.
It was my birthday last week and so I took Monday off to spend my birthday/ Christmas money.
This was my haul from Mind, Sense, Cancer Research and BHF respectively:
John Lewis work shirt (very baggy - may benefit from a couple of darts
Multi coloured loose short tunic (no label, but a bit of a Missoni tribute ,I think)
Boden long sleeved wrap style top
Monsoon sun dress (red, orange and yellow floral)
Hawaiian print sundress dress ( in fabulous cotton - blue, black and white - made in Hawaii - so looks to be the genuine article)
M&S jersey dress
Phase 8 jersey dress
Long Tall Sally wrap skirt and velvet top ( both BNWT)
6 hole silicon cupcake mould
The total came to just under £50, and has given me several outfits suitable for work with the addition of leggings/ tights depending on the time of year. Best birthday in a few years, I think.

Oooooh nooooo...I did it again!!! Yesterday called into the hospice shop and immediately spotted a gorgeous navy, heavy lace dress by Monsoon priced at £5.99. Hesitated due to scarcity of social engagements due to Covid. Walked around rest of shop but then decided to splurge on the dress cos it was just sooo blooming' lovely. Yep....got back to the dress rail to see another woman wobbling off to the till with it...aaarrgghh! Will I never learn?
Anyhoo, later in the PDSA shop I got a b/n pale blue linen oversized shirt from George with two matching belts...one fabric and the other a sort of macrame with wooden beads woven into it - £3.50. Then, (ahem), in the Sue Ryder shop I found a b/n sealed box of Sloggi undercrackers - four in the box for £4. Today, still smarting from having 'my' dress whipped from my hands I called into the big CRUK clearance shop where I found a b/n pair of black, straight legged jeans from M & Co for £3. Then onto the Samaritans shop and came out with a pack of double sided adhesive tape with some sheets of adhesive pads included from Office for 50p and a bottle of Avon nail polish in a shade I have been wanting to try, ('smokiest plum' but looks more browny pink), but didn't want to pay full whack in case it was a mistook...also 50p7 -
DD and myself are off to the charity shops tomorrow. First time in a year. Hoping for a good day. DD is very slim and usually finds loads of lovely stuff. I'm usually harder to please but I usually do well on household items and books. I'll let you know if we find any goodies.8

Another spendy day for me...
I went to the little posh town nearby today. I was very restrained and DIDN'T by a pair of immaculate white adidas trainers in a strange moulded-to-your-foot-style (I have a weakness for random trainer-wear). They were £16.99, which I would have paid, but they were a 6.5 and I am a 5. I used to be a 6, but I have to accept I am no longer. I really wanted them to fit me, but knew they wouldn't. So I did the right thing and left them for someone else.
Then I found a Columbia-brand quilted jacket. I have so many jackets, but Columbia is SUCH a good brand. It was £9.50 from Isabel Hospice and the RRP would be ...well, more like £200. It is cream and wonderful and I have agreed with my partner I will sacrifice one of my many other quilted jackets to make room for this one.
A coral pink short-sleeved top from Banana Republic (RIP in the UK). Stops at the waist in an over-cut boxy style. Will be GREAT for when I go back to the office. £5.50 Isabel Hospice.
A People Tree organic cotton shift dress. £9.50. Thin stripes, 3/4 length sleeves. Perfect for this time of year (or will be when it warms up a bit).
A Cos shirt, %5.50. Very pale light blue, collarless-style, very Swedish. I love Cos but only ever buy secondhand and this is a good basic.
A pair of van dal sandals. Look unworn; tan, so will go with everything. Leather. Ah - just found them: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Van-Dal-Womens-Claremont-Sling/dp/B01N0Q8FYE
I paid £10.
VERY happy.

Well, DD and me went to Bridgnorth today. We didn't find anything we wanted. In fact we recognised a few items that were there on our last visit 12 months ago.
We bought a meal deal from the bakery/cake shop and found a bench by the church to sit and eat. It was very relaxing and we were glad to be out in the sunshine.
Dropped a couple of things off at the dress agency. Fingers crossed they'll sell.9 -
A 'fly by' visit to the St Gemma's 99p shop today....first visit in nearly a year. Came away with a M & S black fitted dress and a pair of navy wide leg Next trousers, BNWT and originally priced at £25. Odd thing tho...the fit is described as 'short'....I am 5'8*...they are almost floor length on me???6
