Another spendy day for me...  :persevere:

I went to the little posh town nearby today. I was very restrained and DIDN'T by a pair of immaculate white adidas trainers in a strange moulded-to-your-foot-style (I have a weakness for random trainer-wear). They were £16.99, which I would have paid, but they were a 6.5 and I am a 5. I used to be a 6, but I have to accept I am no longer. I really wanted them to fit me, but knew they wouldn't. So I did the right thing and left them for someone else.

Then I found a Columbia-brand quilted jacket. I have so many jackets, but Columbia is SUCH a good brand. It was £9.50 from Isabel Hospice and the RRP would be ...well, more like £200. It is cream and wonderful and I have agreed with my partner I will sacrifice one of my many other quilted jackets to make room for this one.

A coral pink short-sleeved top from Banana Republic (RIP in the UK). Stops at the waist in an over-cut boxy style. Will be GREAT for when I go back to the office. £5.50 Isabel Hospice.

A People Tree organic cotton shift dress. £9.50. Thin stripes, 3/4 length sleeves. Perfect for this time of year (or will be when it warms up a bit).

A Cos shirt, %5.50. Very pale light blue, collarless-style, very Swedish. I love Cos but only ever buy secondhand and this is a good basic.

A pair of van dal sandals. Look unworn; tan, so will go with everything. Leather. Ah - just found them: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Van-Dal-Womens-Claremont-Sling/dp/B01N0Q8FYE

    I paid £10.

    VERY happy.

I love the soles of the sandals, really pretty, I had the thought that your footprints would make a good clue in a classic golden age detective story e.g. Freeman Wills Croft or Agatha Christie.
Am very envious of your quilted jacket as the current weather makes me feel the need of one and yours sounds such a good colour too, any chance of a photo of that and the shift dress?
I'm hopefully collecting my newly repaired bicycle tomorrow so should be able to visit some far flung chazzas once I get my pedalling legs back and recover from the bill (£110 :'(). I do hope the brakes didn't work well for the thief and that the other parts they stole never fitted the bike(s) they tried to fit them onto.
There are quite a few places within possible cycling distance from here so if anyone can comment on the chazzas in Abingdon, Kidlington, Didcot, Bicester, Woodstock, Eynsham, Witney, Thame or anywhere else between those towns and central Oxford I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Wow, massive quote fail, apologies! Annoying to have to wade through that.

@goldfinches here I hope are photos of the jacket and dress. This was the first time I had tried the dress on and I am SO pleased with the fit. I love the idea of the Agatha Christie shoes. 😂😂 please excuse my pasty legs and generally deranged appearance... these days I only get out to walk the dog but with life slowly returning to normal I hope to be able to wear actual proper shoes very soon!
