Pixie - that is a disappointment about your bathroom, I know exactly what you mean - once you decide on starting a project you just want to get on with it. Shame about your plumber - good reliable trades are hard to find.
i have used the Garnier Coconut 3-in-1 mask but only as a mask and not a leave-in - I think it would be too heavy for my hair as it is quite fine.
Met up with a friend I haven’t seen since before Christmas for a ‘socially-distanced’ walk today and did just over 8,000 steps - it was lovely to catch-up and very pleasant weather too.5 -
morning, I've been enjoying reading the posts but not posting much. Belong to a declutter thread but realise I need to do more on self esteem and self care. I did manage on one walk with a friend to wear a lovely italian coat I bring out occassionally and stylish accessories (my friend commented and I felt very chic). My focus is going to be doing physio exercises, and move more, then can declutter clothes I don't like as I can get in others I do and I like much more. Also want to use my 'best' crockery or at least 2nd best and not the odd matched etc, and make me and my home more fab.

I just had to go on the bus to the vet to pick up some meds for my dog. Why is it always raining when I have to wait outside the vet? I got a compliment on my umbrella at least.
I looked on the Asda website for a few new Spring bits yesterday but couldn't see anything I wanted to buy at all!
I've decided to meet up with someone next month, before my second jab. He lives on the other side of London so I will have to work out where we can meet and eat outside. I was going to book somewhere now but I thought I would wait until nearer the time to see what the weather is like. It's hard to judge how normal life will be next month as well. I definitely want a new outfit for when I go out.
I'm about to make a chickpea salad sandwich for lunch and have some fresh fruit and green tea. I got a free Ocado magazine so I will read that, oh the excitement.

Wednesday 2000 - how exciting about meeting up next month.
Apart from chick peas what do you put in the salad sandwich? trying to be healthier and interested in combinations, thanks

You can put lots of other things in a chickpea salad, I should say, It's meant to be like a traditional tuna salad so the basic one is usually chickpeas with sweetcorn/celery/onion. You can add chopped olives too and I forgot I did add yellow mustard to the dressing this time.2025 GOALS

I've got another plumber coming next week. I contacted someone who did work for us before but he is too busy and wouldn't even come and look. My car is in for MOT tomorrow, I looked at it and realised how bad it looked, seagulls do make a mess. I went to the car wash, it was out of order, went to 4 more. Eventually came home and got a bucket of hot soapy water and a sponge and gave it a good clean and then hosed it down. The exercise probably did me good and it looks a lot better. I'm hoping the MOT goes well.3

Sugarbaby is right, it's always frustrating when you want to get on and do something and there are blocks in the way pixie. Well done on persisting with finding a plumber. 😊 Fingers crossed for you car tomorrow. My DH says it's always worth cleaning the car before it goes into the garage as it encourages the staff to look after it.
I'd never have thought of putting chickpeas in a sandwich Wednesday but when you think about it, mashed chick peas are the basis of hummus so that makes sense. I suppose the texture is similar to peanut butter. 🤔
You did well to get dressed up in your coat TC77. Glad you got a complement. I always find decluttering quite therapeutic. It's difficult with sorting out clothes at the moment as there are things I've not worn in an age but that's because of lockdown. I think when 'normal' life returns It'll be easier to decide what I've just stopped liking. I know we all need a few old clothes for messy jobs but generally I would only like to keep things I feel good in.
When shops open again (is it mid April?) I need some new socks. I've worn socks so much more in the past year and mine are wearing a bit thin. I like bamboo socks as they're really soft even when dried indoors. I'm not desperate enough to buy them online so I'll probably get what I want in TK Maxx.5 -

Maman my husband is big on cars being clean and well presented for MOT. The guys at the garage are great, they are a two man band and both are friends of my eldest son so I always get well looked after so I'm hoping for no shocks.
I'm feeling more positive about the bathroom, put the last chap behind me and looking forward again. This guy has a bathroom make over on his website that is about the same size as mine and very similar to what I want so I am taking that as a good omen.
Hope everyone is keeping well.5
