Hope it all works out for you Wednesday. I think there have been some issues with the AZ but I don't think they know yet whether there were other problems with the people concerned. It is a worry, of course, but so is Covid. ☹️
It's a Happy Mothers' Day here too. DD1 came round earlier for a quick doorstep visit with a lovely card and flowers. DD2 phoned and sent me her card and a cute gift. My birthday and Mothers' Day are always close together, 3 years ago they were on consecutive days. I have cards and flowers everywhere! 🥰5 -
Wednesday - I had the AZ jab on Friday. I had a rough night feeling shivery and then burning hot but felt much better by yesterday afternoon. Still have a bit of a sore arm today but fine apart from that.3

Wednesday I had the AZ a month ago and it was fine, the care home where my 88 year old aunt lives has had the AZ for staff and residents and they were fine as well. I'm sure it must be making people feel nervous but there have been literally millions of doses in the UK and none of these problems. They seem to think it is a dodgy batch that went to the EU so we should be fine. I get my second dose next month, can't wait. Fingers crossed it will all go well for you, I've found it quite liberating to feel protected. I wasn't worried which one I got, I just wanted one. My DH wanted the AZ although he couldn't really explain why but he was happy that was what he got.
I can't wait to be able to get out more but I know we have to be patient for a little bit longer but it is hard isn't it. What a long hard year it has been. We didn't have a clue how bad it was going to be a year ago, probably just as well as I'm not sure I'd have felt able to get through it but here I am still going strong.

Positive thought for today:
When one door closes, another opens but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us (Alexander Graham Bell)4 -
I'm enjoying your positive thoughts sugarbaby. The general gist is about looking after/valuing ourselves. That's a good lesson for us all.
I've been trying to source the Clinique facewash that I like. I looked online for the pump dispenser and there was a number of reviews complaining that it had been discontinued so I'm not alone. I can see that the new, simpler packaging might be more eco friendly but I'm always suspicious of potential 'greenwashing'. Surely they could have produced a (cheaper) refill in a really simple bottle like they do with some handwashes and cleaning materials. Instead they've saved money on the packaging but not passed any of the saving onto the customer.
So I looked at reviews for facewash and this one came up as recommended on a number of sites. I'm going to give it a try.

It's bright and dry here today. I'm determined not to end up with the Groundhog feeling that often comes with Mondays so we'll get out for a while this afternoon. 😊6 -
Back from a lovely walk, just under the 9 000 steps. We found a new (to us) woodland copse which was quiet and peaceful. It was part of the estate of a large country house so is planted with many non native trees and rhododendrons. We must go back when they're in flower. It's amazing that we can still find new places after a year of local walks. We have a very attractive riverside park close to home but it gets really crowded and we can't relax because of weaving from side to side to avoid people especially joggers and cyclists.
I'm still wearing my duvet coat (so still look like a sleeping bag on legs! 😉) for walks but was really warm in it today. Roll on spring. 😊6 -
I had the jab this afternoon. It was the AZ one, I thought it would be. I got lost beforehand and was late but there were lots of people there and big queues anyway. I queued up but when I got to the nurse to have the vaccine they couldn't find me on the system and I thought that meant I wasn't going to be able to have it! She did find me finally. I took orange juice with vitamin C beforehand and paracetamol afterwards and I hope I don't have any side effects.
I'm just having a snack and am about to watch some TV. I felt quite dressed up today as I wore my cobalt blue blouse as it was quite sunny. I haven't worn that top since last summer.

Glad that's out of the way Wednesday. Take care of yourself for the next day or two as many people have reported headaches etc.
Just had to share the gorgeous flowers from DD1. They've opened up so well overnight. 🥰

Glad it went OK Wednesday, I worried about finding my way round when we went, I knew the site but it is a big place but there were lots of marshalls so we were fine. Hope you don't have any side effects.
Did anyone watch Grace on ITV last night? I had to turn it off at one point as it was making me panic. I won't give anything away in case anyone is going to watch on catch up but just to say I have a bit of a phobic that it triggered. I wanted to know what happened so had to turn it back on.
Maman I have a CeraVe face wash, can't remember if it is the hydrating one but possible as my skin is dry. I'll have to have a look. It seems quite mild and gentle.5 -
Hello Ladies,
Maman it is good to know that you are enjoying the positive thoughts for the day.
Wednesday take it easy now that you have had your 1st jab. I hope you only have mild side effects or no side effects.
Purple pixie I watched Grace today as I had recorded it. I really enjoyed it. 2 hours of entertainment and escapism.
