I just got a text saying I am getting the Covid jab because of an underlying health condition so I have booked the first one for next week and then the other at the end of May. I'm not sure what health condition they mean that means I get it! I will take it anyway. That is good.
It's at a different site to the one my husband had and it's further away from my house. I wonder if that means I am getting a different vaccine to the one he had?

Positive thought for today:
Focus on the good things in life, no matter how small and they will multiply (Katie Piper)4 -
Thanks so much for all the good wishes for my birthday. You are such a kind lot on here. 😊 Last night's fish and chip supper was absolutely delicious. Such a treat as I haven't had one for probably two or three years. 😋
What you might find Wednesday is that if you accept this appointment another offer more locally will come in beforehand. You can then cancel the first one if the location suits you better. My friend messaged me today because that's happened to her. She had to make an appointment 12 miles away last week and yesterday her GP has texted with an earlier (and nearer home) appointment.
Is the banana hair masque a Garnier product from Superdrug? I'd like to give it a try as it sounds good. My DDs really spoiled me yesterday. DD1 gave me a Jo Malone candle and DD2 some of my favourite Clarins Eau Dynamissante. I also had some fun presents like a packet of welshcakes (all gone😉) and these crisps.
I was amused by the strap line 'made from potatoes born and bred in Wales'. Just like me! 😁
Back to normal here today after all yesterday's excitement! 🤣 Most importantly, back to the healthy eating, although I still have the crisps to eat.
I was very slow getting started today as I had various phone calls from family. We're all promising to meet up as soon as we can. We're not making any firm plans so as not to be disappointed but I get the feeling that most of the country is working to the given dates. DH had a phone call from his hairdresser and we've had various emails from restaurants we use advertising their al fresco dining from next month. Even though the PM said he's going on data, he's going to find it hard to disappoint business by putting the brakes on.🤔5 -
Maman this is the link to the masque https://www.superdrug.com/Hair/Hair-Treatments/Hair-Masks/Garnier-Ultimate-Blends-Hair-Food-Banana-Hair-Mask-390ml/p/775729?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIxubqlOmt7wIVs4FQBh170Al2EAQYASABEgLzEfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
It is cheaper at amazon if you have prime.

Glad your birthday went well. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)6 -
That's brilliant maddie. I'm lucky to have all the supermarkets locally. I'll be off to Asda ASAP. 😁5

You are who you are. Love yourself, cherish your qualities and marvel at your uniqueness. The more you love and respect yourself, the more others will love and respect you (Katie Piper)5 -
Hello Ladies,
Happy Mother's DayI hope you are all enjoying your day even if circumstances have stopped you from celebrating surrounded by your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

My daughter lives 2 walk away and she called first thing with cards and gifts. My son lives on the other side of the Pennines and I’ve had a delivery from him. I’m very fortunate.
My husband and I have walked to the churchyard where both our mothers are buried and placed flowers on the graves. My MIL died 40 years ago and my own mum 12 years but of course they are in our thoughts often not just on this special day. It was surprisingly busy at the cemetery. Lots of people on the same errand.
Happy Mothering Sunday to one and all.5 -

I just read that Ireland has suspended the use of the AZ vaccine because of blood clots. I bet that is the one I get offered tomorrow!2025 GOALS
