Hello Everyone and Welcome to the brand new Frump to Fab Thread.
Can you believe Frump to Fab is now 10 years old. Incredible. So much has happened. But you know what.......I'm not even started yet.
I am so thrilled and excited to be on the threshold of a new year. I can hardly wait to get started.
My word for this year is "Intention". To live each day deliberately, intentionally. Making the most of each day, each opportunity and just living life to the Max. No fear, no worries, no anxiety - just enjoying every minute of it. Eating well, taking care of myself, dressing up each day and engaging with the world again.
As some of you might know it will be my 70th birthday in 2021. My goal is to be "Sensational at 70".
Let the games begin......

Thanks for the new thread LL. 😊
I've had a good Christmas. Not that different to our usual except for just 2 of us on the day. It was the lead up that was most unusual without the usual parties and events and opportunities to dress up. But probably better off without all the nibbles. 😁
I've made an effort to dress nicely over the holiday. No leggings! 🤣 I dug out a lovely, loose pair of wide legged trousers yesterday and a pretty skirt on Christmas Day. I went online yesterday and bought 2 gift sets with my full sized moisturiser and freebies at a third off so that's a mse present to me. 😊
It's a lovely day today after a hideously wet and windy night. We got out for another walk, 7000+ steps.
I've got enough fresh food in until about Wednesday and then I'll shop for the new year. Still eating goodies like chocolate and cheese. That'll tail off until proper healthy eating resumes on 4th.
I'm another that doesn't eat in the street. Exceptions would be fish and chips at the seaside like sukey. And perhaps an ice cream. 😋

I’m loving your new mantra LL, I have a big birthday in 2022 and I want to be even more fabulous for that. I can’t believe it’s 10 years since the original thread started, think I’ve been around for most of that time, not posting regularly but definitely reading. I too will be glad to see the back of 2020 and like you LL have an intention for 2021, to be fabulous whatever is going on in the world! In 2020 I’ve done a list of 20 x 20 for 2020, some of which hasn’t been possible because of COVID but one thing I have achieved is just buying 20 items of clothing - actually I’m on 19 items but have ordered a hooded cardigan from Wallis to try. In 2021 I may well restrict myself to 21 items as I still haven’t worn some of my 2020 purchases due to lockdown restrictions. Here’s to a successful 2021 everyone and a far better year for us all, 🥂6

Hi everyone, just marking my place on the new thread.5

It has been one heck of a year that will not be looked upon with much warmth. Hopefully, 2021 will be much better and really allow a return to normal.
My hopes for 2021 are to be healthier and happier. I really want to form more connections with people and not be as fearful of new adventures. We need to seize every opportunity and be open to new adventures.6 -
Hello everyone!
I'm going to be 45 in 2021. I'm wondering if I will be able to celebrate it outside the house as it's in March!
I have felt quite motivated lately. I got out the book written by a neuroscientist I started earlier in the year. It showed you how to do a vision board filled with images and I never got around to it as Covid threw me off somewhat. I sat down at my desk today and wrote a list of things I want from my life like financial freedom, living by the sea, meeting new people, seeing live music etc... I need to get buy magazines to start the vision board as she said it is best to use images instead of words. The author said the new year is the best time to start so that was handy. You are supposed to put it by your bed so you can see it when you wake up and go to bed.
I started watching a Christmas film last night (it is a comedy film but set at Christmas) and will watch the end later. This will be the last xmas one I watch this year.
I'm trying to eat more healthily again and drink more water and green tea. I've been needing to pee all day! Lol.

Thanks for the new thread LL I also have a big birthday this year - I turn 60, I am aiming to climb Snowdon mountain (yikes)! I am overweight and very unfit. I am going to have to design myself some sort of boot camp! Looking forward to the always inspiring posts from all contributors.Debt free and Keeping on Track5

Wednesday - Plan on it in the back garden. It will be outside at least.
I drink a lot of herbal tea/green tea. I will share with you this word of advice fennel is a diuretic and makes one pee a lot. If you like herbal teas try the European shops in your area as the flavours are wonderful and much cheaper than pukka teas.

Thanks for the new thread LL. I always enjoy reading the thread but never post much.A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

YES the first new thread for 2021. I hate wishing my life away, but so ready to jump i to 2021. DH and I have been sorting out boxes and decluttering all last week, i think it’s partly due to getting rid of the old. anyway, whilst we have motivation, need to do it! going to put chocolates and sweet nibbles away to tomorrow and stop grazing on junk. my body is noticing it. after losing a stone in 2020, put on 4lbs in last week, so need to lose it quickly then a further 3lbs to get to target weight. want this done by end January. First goal of 2021! need to work on budgets too. I have a similar mantra for next year: mKing everyday count. happy new thread, and so glad you are back on the threads LL.6
