Positive thought for today:
Silence is a great healer. Let yourself block out the noise of the world from time to time and listen to your inner voice - it will tell you what you need. (Katie Piper)

Maddie - thanks for that. That must be the same for my husband with the jab then.
Floss - that is a good idea, I forgot about that Dylon pre-dye stuff.
I got a text saying I have low folic acid again. I've got to get a prescription again. They didn't say anything else so I assume my thyroid and my diabetes came back okay. That doesn't explain why I'm suddenly feeling tired again. I did think the tingling hands could be Raynaud's as I noticed I have it when my hands are cold. I think I'm going to make a GP phone appointment as it says it could be something else and just to double check my diabetes level is fine.
I'm about to have a hot shower and use that Garnier banana masque and then blow dry my hair and go for a walk. It's supposed to rain today so I have to check what time. Oh, it says all day so I will need my umbrella!

Wednesday hope you like the Garnier masque, it really suits my hair and has eliminated the Wurzel Gummidge look even though I still need a hair cut.
I've bitten the bullet and booked a local firm to come and do a quote for my bathroom. It was good for me putting it on here as I keep prevaricating and this morning I thought I must do it or you will all be asking me about it (you might not but it did make me do it.) So I am going to have a look at some stuff on line to get ideas, anyone with any advice do let me know, things you recommend, mistakes to avoid, good brands, anything really.7 -
Definitely a good idea to book a phone appointment with the GP Wednesday. It will give you a chance to discuss the tiredness and your test results in general. Should they need to see you they'll give you an in person appointment.
Like you, we decided to go out despite the rain. We went just before lunch before the really high winds blew up. It was only a quick walk to the local shop and back but it blew a few cobwebs away. 😊
I know what you mean about accountability pixie. It seems to help if you've said something 'out loud'. I don't know about the company you've chosen for your first quote. The guy we had was a plumber himself but he also project managed everything and sub contracted to a tiler, electrician, skip hire, painter and plasterer and made sure they appeared to order. All we had to do was choose what we wanted and he recommended a good local showroom for the bathroom fittings and I went elsewhere to choose the flooring and light fittings. We decided to get rid of the bath because we never used it so have a super walk in power shower instead. Personally I'd have kept the bath and had a shower room downstairs in the extension we're planning (????) instead of the cloakroom we have now. So I'd check with the company exactly what they do/what you want them to do in the quote. We decided to go for fully tiled walls as it's much more durable. I had thought some painted walls would add colour but decided to have a patterned floor instead and I can always have coloured towels if I want. We have small metro tiles with grey grouting. We went for a vinyl floor because I've tried just about every other sort of covering over the years and it's what I like best. Vinyl has come a long way over the years and ours is patterned to look like tiles. Two little extras that I really like. I have a charging point for my toothbrush in the cupboard under the wash hand basin and a little alcove built into the back wall of the shower to hold shampoo etc.
I'll see if I can find a photo.😊

This is roughly the range we chose. We went very traditional because it suits the age of the house (and my tastes).😊8 -
Thanks Maman. The guy I have coming is a local plumber but he does full bathroom renovations so I assume he uses other people but I will check tomorrow. We are having a bath, we have a shower in the en suite so we can have both and I am thinking about when we sell and I think having both will be a positive. Having said that DH is determined not to sell but we will see. Once GS is off to uni we have no family down here, just ex DIL and we rarely see her and I don't expect we will see her when GS goes. I want to be nearer family, I want to be in a city, well edge of a city so have more facilities to hand and better public transport as I don't suppose we will drive forever. Less hills would be a positive as well.
When bathroom is done if we are happy with everything then the ensuite is next and third is hall, stairs and landing decorated. Like painting the Forth Bridge.
I like the idea of the charging point in the cupboard. I'm undecided about all tiles or part painted, it is all tiled now and I think I'd like some painted but as you say maintenance wise the tiles are better.
I'm bracing myself for the quote, I'm sure it will be more than I expect but the house is 35 years old and it is the original bathroom so very dated.

Wednesday when I was diagnosed with Pernicious Anaemia in 2000 my Haematology Consultant always gave me a copy of every blood test that he had done and told me that I should always ask for them in the future. I let this slip as time went on until I became ill again and the support group that I belong to said that we should always get them.. I later found that my GP's surgery had not noted constantly falling levels of several things, I had become very poorly and lost two years of potentially better health because of it, I was at such low levels it has taken years to get halfway well again. I am signed up with the Surgery to the online system (Patient Access) and can access every test usually within 24 hours or so. The problem is that if test is within range one is usually told it is fine, even if say the range might be 20-100 and test shows 21, like trying to run car with only a teacup of fuel in the tank. We are all entitled by law to copies or access to our results, whatever the person on the desk might say.
I am not knocking medics, but they are overworked and often under staffed. It is my body - lived with it for 71 years and well able to know if things are not quite right.
Sorry for the sermon, but it is something that I find really concerning.
The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)10 -
Maman that bathroom looks very stylish so obviously you have good taste.
Maddiemay I get a copy of all test results and letters sent to any Doctors, consultants and other health practitioners that are part of my health care both from my surgery, out patient clinics I attend and my dentist. I have files full of all of these important documents. It is always useful as a patient to know what is being said about you and it is imperative that we are aware of test results and not just given an edited version of the test results.8 -

Pixie - I have used the banana hair masque before and I do like it. I think I used their coconut one as well
I just used the Garnier lemongrass facial wash and I shaved my legs in the bath last night. I'm about to have another bath and go for a walk. It's sunny but very windy. The recycling bags were blown all over the drive and I had to clear them up.
I made veggie soup yesterday but I'm going to put some Indian seasoning in there and make a red lentil coconut milk dal and some rice to go with it when I get home.
