Wednesday - sorry to hear about your dye problem - I have never been brave enough to dye anything apart from my hair 😀.

It is a beautiful day here too - we took our cat for a walk this morning - he loves trotting along behind us along the footpath near our house 😻

Thanks chanie, yes they are pricey which is a bit off putting as you think £20 for a pair of pants! Of course they have the built in pad etc but at first glance it does seem a lot.

Hopefully they are designed to last a good while, so although the outlay is bigger at first, overall it won't be much more expensive per use. 🤔 I think I will try a couple of brands and see how I get on but it will have to be over a few months due to the expense.
Both the modibodi and waka ones say they will last around 2 years, which I think is ridiculous, because you only only need to use them a couple of days every month.  Plus the price.  Mine are coming up to 2 years now and some started to develope small holes after about 12 months.  They are still wearable and will be for a while yet,  but it is disappointing.  Based on an average 2 year life span, I do wonder whether they are as environmentally friendly as they are marketed as, when you take into account the resources to make them and the amount of washing.  Still, it’s a change I’m willing to make and I will be introducing DD to period knickers when she starts her periods.
Chanie, I agree that 2 years isn't very long, that is a bit disappointing but as you say it's worth a try and surely must be reducing some plastic use. I also find the reusable sanpro is much more comfortable so it's a very personal choice. I think the period pants must be much easier for young girls, I wish I'd had them when I started my periods.

    Lovely cat sukeyboo. ❤️

I have been listening to podcasts and reading articles through patreon - you can sign up and support artists you like etc. I have only signed up for two - one subscription for £1 p/m  and one for £3 p/m (plus VAT). They are both historians - one for Ancient Rome and one for the Medieval period, it's very interesting and quite funny. It's something a bit different and I'm happy to support writers whose work I enjoy.
