Happy Birthday maman 🥳🥂🎂🎁 - glad you managed to enjoy your picnic.

Had my first Covid vaccination today - the letter turned up on Monday but I didn’t want to travel to one of the big vaccination centres - I was concerned that if I felt unwell after it I wouldn’t feel comfortable driving around 25 miles home but as luck would have it my GP surgery phoned yesterday and booked me in for today. 

Pixie - it is exciting about your new bathroom - we had ours done a couple of years ago and I really think it was money well spent.

Sugarbaby - Katie Piper is an inspirational woman - she suffered terribly after the attack but it has made her stronger.

Sukey I am being very impatient waiting for the quote.  I've sent for some tile samples as I think I have everything else sorted.  I am really looking forward to it, I've waited too long.  Congratulations on getting your jab, hope you feel OK.

I bought and have tried the Banana/Shea Butter hair mask, it is lovely, I am a total convert, thank you ladies for the heads up on it. Wednesday I hope that you are able to boost your folic acid with your food tweaks and you soon feel less fatigued.

Yes, it is my birthday today Wednesday.  Thanks for your good wishes. We're just back from our lunchtime picnic. The weather stayed fine and sunny if ab bit blowy. I would have liked to go to the seaside but decided it would have been stretching the 'stay local' message a bit too far. Instead we drove to the river waterfront where the ferries go from (about 3 miles) and parked up watching the boats coming and going. Before that we went to M&S, bought lots of goodies that I'd normally avoid (like crisps and blueberry hot cross buns😋). Then we had a good walk around the old town and town centre before going back to the car for our picnic. Normally I'd only buy food like that on a journey so it was a lovely change. 

I went into Boots and got myself the Clinique make up remover that I wanted. I was going to buy the facewash as well but they'd changed the packaging to be more 'eco friendly' so I hesitated. I really liked the pump action dispenser as it gives exactly the right amount and you don't have to juggle with a bottle before washing your face. I'm going to see if I can find any discontinued ones online or I'll just try another brand and put it in my old dispenser like I did with the Nivea. 

I'm feeling good today. I put on my favourite black  skinny jeans, a nice Zara jumper and extra rings and bracelets and  took some care with my make up before I went out. I may be a year older but I don't have to look it or feel it! 🤣

It's very windy again. I did another hair treatment with a Superdrug conditioner yesterday for a few hours but my hair got all tangled going for a walk just now. It's at least sunny.

I was going to say that my messed up bed covers looking like they are tie dye is meant to be quite fashionable as I read that is one of the Spring trends. I read the trends are tie dye, ditsy print pastels and florals, I think. 90s style as well.

We've had torrential rain and a heavy hail storm.  I went to put some stuff in the bin and ended up skating on a pile of hail stones.  Now the sun is shining.  Totally confusing.
