Welcome shabbychic - we are the same age 😀.
The thought of you sipping your mojito through a straw with your face mask on made me chuckle too leftatthetrafficlights 🍸
Hope you feel better later LL.
I know exactly what you mean about your hair maman - I wash mine every other day usually but as soon as I go out in this weather I end up with a load of frizz 🙁.
This evening I intend to have a bit of pamper session with a nice soak in the bath and then lie back and relax with my gel eye patches while listening to some ‘spa’ music on YouTube.6 -
Sorry you're not feeling great LL, my husband says his arm is sore but I seem OK, fingers crossed.7

I had the AZ jab on Monday. I felt off colour all day on Tuesday but by evening, really rough. Headache, shivery and generally aching all over. I packed myself off to bed early and was right as rain on Wednesday morning. My friend had the same experience but my DH who was jabbed at the same time as me was fine. Everyone reacts differently.
Anyhow, definitely worthwhile. The vaccine rollout has been a remarkable achievement by the NHS. We attended our local Town Hall. A 10 minute walk away and a very efficient system. We never even sat down through the whole process. No need with the AZ to rest for 15 minutes afterwards. By then, we were home making a well deserved cuppa!7 -

sorry you're not feeling well LL. I heard from a nurse that the people who react bad are often people that have had the virus. Not sure if this is true or not.I've got myself a Clairol root touch up. my hair is looking silvery on top. I was due my 2 colours 23/1. I used this once in last lockdown and it blended in fine7

I am absolutely confident that I have not had covid-19. My symptoms were exactly as described as being very common on the patient information leaflet given to me when I was vaccinated.6

Well Maman it really wasnt MSE but l have justified the spend by having no hair cuts or beauty treatments and we have 2 months off from the council tax. Be gentle on me but Biggest purchase is the led face mask £385 think in total my spend is .....deep breath over £500 but not over £600. I value everything l buy as a price per use so l think for me it’s money well spent. Also works out less than £2.00 per day - less than a cup of takeaway coffee ( which l dont do).I also put the Boden catalogue in the recycling before l spent on that this month so a slight win .Count down to retirement 20237

Thanks for your concern ladies. I'm ok, the main thing was tiredness and lethargy, headache and a bit shivery and like pattycake just a general feeling "off colour", fairly typical reaction to most jabs I think. If I had still been in the world of work I would no doubt have carried on but now I have the luxury of indulging in a sofa day, so I did. 😂. Had a nice afternoon dozing my way through Upstairs Downstairs (part 2, not the original). Load of old tosh but nice escapism. Anyway I think I'm pretty much over it now.I do actually think I had a mild dose of covid back in January last year, before it all kicked off and before anyone knew what it was. I was never tested of course so will never know for sure. I have never had a cough like it, even ending up with a couple of cracked ribs. 😂. Very painful.
Still, compared with some, I consider myself very fortunate to have escaped so lightly (so far so good🤞).Going to have a zoom game of "Pointless" with family later - see if I can thrash my son. There will be a G&T and some nice nibbles.Weather looks grim for the weekend and early next week so I'll nip out for a few bits tomorrow. Make sure I have everything I need.Have a nice evening.8 -

I'm with you on the cost per wear/use. Enjoy your purchases. 😊
Good luck for your quiz LL. 🤞6
