I did my hair yesterday and felt so much better for it. DH even told me it looked nice, unprompted, but that was probably because he noticed the contrast with Monday's rats tails! Unfortunately we then went out for a short walk and the damp air made it all fuzzy. I didn't mind though as it was good to get out.
Today's fashion page is about how acceptable it now is to wear yoga clothes, particularly leggings outdoors. being The Times they show a ridiculously expensive brand.
Women Leggings & Sweatpants | Women Bottoms | lululemon UK
The other article is about duvet coats where they feature one designed by Gucci in conjunction with North Face.
It's good to know my current mode of dress is in fashion even if not at those prices! 🤣4 -
I have heard of lululemon leggings from YouTubers who rave about them. I do need some new leggings for the warmer weather but those ones are expensive.
I just went out and bought some flowers and bird food. I wore my thermal top with a black jumper I completely forgot I bought and haven't ever worn. It's a sheer type one but it is okay over the thermal.
We are watching so much Netflix at the moment! We watched two more films last night. Below Zero is number one on Netflix. I liked it, but it was very violent.
What is Below Zero, the Spanish action movie that’s No. 1 on Netflix?

Have managed to do my exercise DVD three days in a row and do feel much better for it - aiming to go for a walk this afternoon as it is due to brighten up. Might give the muddy fields a miss today and walk part of the North Dorset Trailway which follows an old disused railway line.
Looking forward to settling down this evening with a cuppa and some nice chocolate to watch my favourite programme, The Repair Shop 😍.

😂🤣. In what universe would anyone in their right minds pay that much for leggings.Call me old fashioned but I'm afraid I'm with Joan Collins on this...........she says gym gear is fine in the gym, yoga pants in a yoga studio and trainers on the running track. I will wear trainers at a push if I am walking for a long distance or maybe even for sightseeing but I can't say that they flatter me.I don't know if I'm just an outrageous snob but for me half the fun of going out is in the dressing up and I think it's such a shame that so few people make an effort these days. When I was a teenager it was all about getting dolled up to have a good time, even if it was just an afternoon round the shops with your mates. We still put on our best "clobber". We all wanted to put on the style. The boys did it too, they were just as much into peacocking as the girls were.Of course it was all about attracting the opposite sex ........😂.Well the vaccine went well, really well organised. I got there early, straight in, no messing. Had the Astra Zeneca one in the end, not that I'm bothered which one I get. I'm just so happy to have been done. Hopefully it's now the beginning of the end. Apparently 10m done already.......aren't we lucky. Well done to everyone involved. That's an amazing achievement. And apparently we will have plenty left over to give to other countries too. 2nd one booked for 21st April.Anyway I've been to Aldi and am all stocked up, partly in case I feel a bit rough over the next couple of days and partly because apparently we are in for a bit of weather.I'm now well and truly back on paleo and am feeling and looking tons better. Even my skin is heaps better, certainly less dry and parched. I have now given up with counting WW points because to do so I was cutting out nearly all fat from my diet. I think this is why my skin was so bad. Now that I have reintroduced proper fats and oils into my diet, rather than those low cal sprays, fat free this and fat free that, my skin is thankful. Plumper, more moist and less sensitive and less easily irritated. It's all trial and error isn't it.38th wedding anniversary tomorrow so bought myself two bunches of flowers, one red tulips and the other a mix of old fashioned creamy white and pink roses....... and of course some Champagne chocolate truffles. 🥂💐
Sad to hear about Captain Tom, but oh my, what a man, what a life. ❤️Right I'm off to have a bite to eat, put my feet up and curl up with my book.Have a great day y,all.8 -
I think the YouTubers like those leggings as they stay in place while they are exercising or doing yoga.
I find tights and leggings falling down really annoying. I wear leggings quite a lot under short dresses in the summer as I don't have bare legs unless it is really hot.
Sukey - what exercise video do you do?
LL - you are right that you need healthy fats. The book on women and dementia I read recently stressed the importance of women having fat in their diet. I try to have either extra virgin olive oil/ nuts/ olives/ avocado every day now. That is nice that you have got yourself some treats for tomorrow.
Oh yes, I meant to say I bought a teeth whitening kit from Amazon as I was saying my teeth didn't feel as clean as usual. It's vegan and only had three ingredients and it got great reviews. I'm going to try it tomorrow, not today as I have some red wine left so it seems pointless.2025 GOALS

Happy birthday for yesterday Sheila.
Exciting day today, took DH for his covid jab, it was at a big hub and was actually quite quiet, after filling in his forms and waiting for him to be called for his jab the nurse asked if I was his carer, I said yes and she said hang on a minute. She went and spoke to someone and came back and asked me if I'd like the jab today. Well I nearly bit her hand off but managed to behave myself. I think it is because it was such a surprise that I can't quite get my head round it, it just seems a bit unreal. On the way home we celebrated by going to the drive thru and getting McDonalds so we could share our joy with grandson who was very laid back and said he knew all along they'd give it to me as well. Oh to be 16 and know EVERYTHING about ANYTHING.
LL I had the Astra Zeneca as well, I wasn't bothered which one I got but DH was happy as he said he couldn't explain why but he would have chosen the AZ if he had been given a choice.9 -
Today I went out in the car and left the village for the first time this year! We went for a walk at our local NT property - we certainly picked the right day, no rain and sunny. Then we visited a couple of garden centres. I stopped off at M&S foodhall on the way home - first time I have been in a supermarket this year as well. It felt really, really good to be out although very strange as hardly anyone else out and about. I did feel a bit guilty, but for my mental health it has done me wonders.Debt free and Keeping on Track7

Wednesday - it is one I have had for years - it is ‘Rosemary Conley - 5 day fat burner’. It works for me really well as it has 5 separate sections of about 10-15 minutes each, 3 of them are aerobic sections and 2 toning sections and then a final 5 minutes of relaxation stretches. That way I can combine different parts, I usually do one aerobic and one toning section per day along with the relaxation stretches.
Pixie - that was really good news about the vaccine - I see from the news today that it is now looking like it prevents transmission as well as you becoming ill from Covid - more good news.
LL - glad to hear your vaccine went OK too - enjoy your flowers and chocolates.6
