Hello,lovely ladies......
how are you all, I have been reading along - you all seem to be busy and doing well.As for me......well I have been both busy (too busy) and a bit unwell. But I'm feeling tons better, now,However......I have noticed the frump has somehow made an appearance again. I have been so busy doing and I have rather put myself on the back burner. so.......before the rot really sets in it's back to the thread for a much needed kick up the derrière from you lovely lot.Time to get back to basics. Exercise, skin care, healthy eating, in a word DISCIPLINE. 😂.Starting today with a massage, sort out some insurance renewals and then make a start sorting out my wardrobe. Time for a major declutter and revamp. I'm 70 now and I've noticed some browns, greys and beiges creeping in. 😱.What in the world, those shades do nothing for me so why are they in my wardrobe. I have come to the conclusion that I must buy them when Im feeling a bit low, or uncertain or something. I have no idea why those colours have crept in again they certainly don't elevate my mood when I wear them. They drain my energy and make me feel dull and lethargic.Rather like these dark gloomy skies we are having at the moment. 😉.Anyway I'm back because it's time I bucked my ideas up and was accountable again.6 -
Helen, welcome back, I’ve missed you.
One positive is that you have noticed early that you are sliding into old habits, so you can act quickly.I think many of us could do with a bit of motivation, given the last 18 months.4 -
Hello LL.
I am also on the same track as you. I did my face wash and face scrub last night then put on a hydrating leave on face mask. I then used my foot spa and put on fluffy socks. I then later did a cleansing face mask, a pore strip and then night cream and serum!
It is dreary weather here, I just went out to buy some salad and houmous and I washed my hair beforehand and it is that type of light rain that gets you really soaked. I still walked around the park without my umbrella afterwards to get some daylight at least.
I am also trying to focus on eating for my health, not weight loss, as I have lost weight since my dog died and certainly not done it in a healthy way.
I am out this Wednesday evening and maybe Saturday evening and definitely Sunday.
I am thinking of booking an Indian Head massage for next week. Some of the new people I have met live near to a massage place I used to go to years ago but totally forgot about.

That's spooky @helensbiggestfan. I was thinking of you this morning when I saw a photo of your alter ego in the paper.
Helen Mirren stuns in elaborate gown at Dolce & Gabbana show (pagesix.com)
I think she must be growing out her hair and not straightening it. Remember a few weeks ago when she had that hairband on? Maybe she's taken advantage of lockdowns to let her hair go a bit wild. 🤔
We're out to lunch today and my Zara spotty dress is getting another airing. It seems they were so popular in 2019 that they released it again this year. Mine's an original! 🤣

Yes, we are lucky to be so close to the Isle of Wight @chanie. We're about 3 miles from the car ferry but the quickest way is to go as a foot passenger on the hydrofoil which gets into Cowes in 30 minutes. Definitely a day trip next month.
Well done for pacing yourself @Wednesday2000. It's great that your social life has taken off but you don't want to wear yourself out and undo all the good work. 🤞🏼 you get good news from your Estate Agent. A Sold sign has just gone up on the next door house . Hopefully we'll have good neighbours.

I have started following La Mirren on her Instagram account......😂
Just saved myself £181 on my house insurance. Wahoo. Going to check every renewal this year. Car next month. (Was a bit naughty last year and didn't double check everything so definitely need to do it this year).I have filled two bin liners with clothes for the chazzer. Don't worry, I've still got plenty left. And I've not even looked at shoes. 😂🤣.5 -
LL what a great saving on your house insurance. Loyalty to insurers does not pay.3

You're right SUgarbaby. No rewards for customer loyalty with any financial institutions these days. When I rang them to tell them I wouldn't be renewing they made no attempt to retain my business. Didn't even ask why I was leaving. They guy was pleasant but I guess he knew why and knew he had nothing to offer me. Surely it's cheaper to retain customers than look for new ones. Funny way to run a business. What really gets my goat though is it's always down to the consumer to do all the work isn't it. And what about people who aren't computer savvy - not that I'm brilliant but I can at least compare suppliers using the internet - but there are plenty of people who can't or who don't have easy internet access.Rant over. 😂🤣
ps. I also got the meerkat cinema/meal deal too. 😁4 -
Great to see you back LL 😉 I really need to up my game on the fabbing front 🤔4
