Ooh @chanie that is gorgeous. I think the deep green makes it a little bit more unusual than the "common" black too, it's such a rich colour.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Hello Ladies,
Chanie I hope you enjoy using your new bag and wearing your new shoes
I went to the Poetic Unity Open Mic event at Black Cultural Archives yesterday evening and it was such an empowering, positive event full of really talented poets.
I got complimented on the 3 poems that I performed, so I thanked the 2 women.3 -
I'm exhausted today. I went to the supper club Friday and it was really lovely. They made such an effort for me with the vegan food. Risotto, two curries and salad with chutneys and then vegan pancakes for dessert. I couldn't sleep when I got home so I went to bed at 4.
I went out last night and saw a live band and then a DJ. The DJ was someone I had just met at the meetups. I didn't go to bed until 3 last night as well.
I think I need an early night tonight! I'm going to have a hot bath and defuzz and do a face pack beforehand.

I don't know where this week's going. I haven't managed to post for ages. I do hope everyone is well.
Your social life has really taken off @Wednesday2000. I'm so pleased for you as it means your health has improved to give you the energy and enthusiasm to be out there!! 😊
Love the bag and shoes @chanie. You buy some really good quality items. I hope you get a lot of pleasure from them.
I picked up The Ordinary retinol from Boots and started using it at the beginning of the week. I don't normally use a night cream but I had a small sample tube from Clarins so I've been using that with it. We'll see if it has any long term effect but a bit of extra skincare never did anyone any harm.
Yesterday we finished the last section of the Itchen Way into Winchester. The weather was gorgeous and the scenery delightful. Yesterday we took a bus to our starting point and then one home from the destination but all the rest of the walk (during early lockdowns when we were keeping off public transport) we've had to walk retrace our steps, back home or to the car after walking along the river so we've walked double the distance! yesterday we did 13.5K steps! We've enjoyed it though so now need another project. It's good to have a purpose when going out for a walk as we don't have a dog.🤣7 -
That is a lot of steps Maman!
The local group has been good for me, although there has been some drama too! I won't go into it on here. Lol.
I have a meetup this weekend to go to and then mid week I have the pub meetup and then next weekend I have another DJ night and an art exhibit to go to.We have a day trip to the seaside planned in October too. *Phew* it seems like a lot after being cooped up for so long!
I'm actually getting concerned that we haven't heard anything about the second viewing or the survey on our house. I don't even know if the couple we are meant to be buying from have found a place either. We called the estate agent today but then we remembered it is their day off today.
I woman I met at the meetups said I can have the number of her mortgage broker but I said we don't need a mortgage as we are mortgage free so I just feel very unsure if this house move is going to go through at the moment.
It's strange as I was putting dates in my new academic calendar (as it starts from September) and I had made notes on the 2021 calendar that are totally irrelevant now. I had planned to talk to an IFA before our house move (we were planning April 2022 to move house) and then I had notes about getting health checks and tests on my dog that has now died. I don't know. Very weird time in my life.

Hello Ladies,
Wednesday I hope it goes to the completion stage with your house sale.
I am very tired after going to my son's Urbanest student accommodation to clear out his room there. We had lots of strong extra large bags to pack all of his belongings.
I was gobsmacked at just how messy and untidy his room was at Urbanest, as at home he is very tidy and keeps his bedroom clean.
My son hoovered the room while we were sorting and packing. When he had finished the hoovering, I wiped clean all of the surfaces in the room. The floor was absolutely filthy, but it turned out that the other 2 students he shared the kitchen area with were also male and none of these young adult men felt the need to buy a mop and bucket.
My son is home for good and it has made me so happy.
I will be donating all of his unwanted belongings to local charity shops in Camberwell over the next few days.5 -
Wednesday im sure everything will be going ahead for your move. The process normally starts off slowly and all of a sudden will pick up.
sugar I can’t believe your son has finished Uni. I remember when you telling us about settling him in.Maman I’ve walked the Itchen near Winchester and it’s so pretty. You are so lucky to be close by. That’s one of the disadvantages of living in Greater London - it’s a good 1/2 drive for us to go somewhere pretty. Don’t get me wrong, we fo have nice places locally, but many are either man made or have been landscaped. I’d love to have access to somewhere pretty but untouched.5 -

It seems like only yesterday that he got his place at university. How time flies. You must be so proud of him... despite the messy room!
We've been to our local art gallery today. There is an exhibition which shows local acquisitions over the years alongside similar ones lent by the National Gallery. I really enjoyed it. Aside from the art, I find galleries so peaceful and calming. 😊6 -
I had to call an ambulance last night as I started getting double vision and the man on the emergency 999 call said I might have had a stroke.
The ECG and my blood pressure came back fine so I didn't need to go to the hospital. The ambulance driver knocked at my door later and said they think I have a problem with my ocular nerve and I need to get my eyes checked. She said that might be why I had vertigo for so many years.
