wednesday how scary that must have been for you last night. I hope you get some answers soon. Take care.

Do follow that up @Wednesday2000.😊
I had a browse in Matalan this week when I was over that way. I saw a jumper and a dress that were quite nice but didn't like them on. At least the changing rooms were open now so no need for a return trip. I think I'm getting hugely discerning when it comes to clothes shopping and very conscious of the difference between wants and needs. Unless I saw something classic in a sale then I'm thinking ahead to clothes for colder weather. I still want t new duvet coat, hopefully they'll still be around this year.
Not much happening here today. My plan is to do some batch cooking while listening to my team on the radio. It's good sometimes to just potter about. 😊4 -
Wednesday it is good that it did not turn out to be a stroke. Take care2
-
I spoke to the doctor on the phone earlier and he said it didn't sound like a stroke or epilepsy. He said I have to get my eyes checked asap. I have made an optician appointment for this week.
I was asking the optician how bad this is as I'm not really getting the message if this is something very serious or not. He said it might not be but that my eye might be damaged. I will find out more this week, I suppose!5 -
Hope it's nothing serious WEDNESDAY! What a shock it must've been , for you xx"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Greetings from the Isle of Wight.
We took the children on a day trip recently. Needless to say, the highlight of the day was the ferry 😂.
what a poor bank holiday weekend it is turning out be, due to the weather. It’s not raining and it’s warm, so that’s a positive, but I think we would have all benefitted from a bit of sunshine.I don’t know about you all, but I’ve noticed lots of empty shelves in the supermarkets. The gaps on shelves have been there for a while, but they are getting bigger now. How’s things in everyone else’s neck of the woods?4 -
I was down by the ferry terminal yesterday morning @chanie, I could have given you a wave! It's been dull and gloomy today but the sun is doing its best to peep out. I'm waiting until schools go back and then we're going to the Island for a day trip.
Definitely noticed lots of gaps on shelves locally. When my DD was isolating I did some shopping for her in Sainsbury's. This was a few weeks ago when the weather was really hot so I assumed that was why water, ice lollies, squash, fruit juice etc were in short supply. Next time I went there I noticed they've had cardboard cut outs of bottles and packets made specially to fill up the empty shelves! I do most of my food shopping in Aldi and so far it's not been too bad, probably because they stock more limited product ranges.
We desperately need some new fencing in the garden and at some point a new shed but the prices of materials have sky rocketed and also in very short supply.
I do try not to make political comments in posts but I had to smile this morning when someone questioned how Cristiano Ronaldo could get a job and come here so easily but not European lorry drivers. 🤣
I'm going dancing again this evening and out for lunch tomorrow so always nice to have something to make a bit of an effort for. 😊3 -
Hello Ladies,
Chanie, I only do top up shopping in Lidl and their stock levels are very good, although there are a few products that are in short supply, this has only been noticeable in about the last 3 weeks, prior to that there were no gaps.
I do my online grocery shopping with Tesco and there has been shortages for weeks. It means that I have been paying far more for bottle water and other items that are in very short supply. I am fortunate that I have no financial issues that would prevent me from paying higher prices, but I do resent having to pay higher prices.
My son took the last 2 bags of kitchen items and the pillow and the bag of study books for GCSE's to the charity shop for me, as they were too heavy for me to carry. Now there is none of his clutter left.
My younger son is having his 2nd Covid vaccination today.4 -
Thanks CG.x
A woman on a forum said what happened to me the other night sounded like a vestibular migraine and I googled and I think that is what it was. I haven't had a migraine attack since 2018 and never had one like that. I am going to try and be more healthy and drink less alcohol and try to relax more as I have been very stressed the last month and I really don't want to experience those symptoms again.
I am doing a blitz tidying up my house today as I have neglected the housework the past few weeks. We are getting an update from the estate agent tomorrow so I want to get the house back to a presentable state and keep it like that.
I used to love going to the Isle of Wight Chanie. My friend from school had a holiday home there.
I went out yesterday even though I was feeling a bit ropey from Friday. I had slept all day and night Saturday to rest. I went to a Caribbean festival in Kidbrooke yesterday and had fun eating the food and listening to the DJ and the band. It made me feel a lot better being out in the fresh air and eating something so we went to a bar afterwards. I had a few drinks but didn't go crazy like I have the past few weeks!
There is another music and DJ thing this evening but I think I want to relax at home tonight. I can't believe how much this group I've joined go out socially. I'm one of the younger members of the group too. Lol.
After all the cleaning and tidying up I am going to have a bubble bath with candles tonight.2025 GOALS
