Hello Ladies,

Maman, I am meeting Charlie in the pub. I prefer to travel to and from the pub independently, so that I can please myself about what time I arrive and leave the pub. There are 3 night buses that go to Camberwell from a bus stop that is very near to the pub. when I am leaving the pub in the early hours of Sunday. 

Wednesday, grief does make a lot of us lose weight. Your appetite will eventually return. I hope you enjoy your meet up.   

I am going to Leilani restaurant tomorrow evening with my younger son. I have a Groupon for 2 people to have a 2 course Caribbean meal with a cocktail. I am looking forward to the meal and interacting with my son.

Thanks Candygirl. Charlie and I are getting along fine at this early stage, so we are both looking forward to the date on Saturday.

We all want to hear how the date goes Sugarbaby.

I have arranged a local meetup for next week and my husband is going too. There are about 11 people so far who said they will attend.

I am about to order some products for my hair as it is so frizzy and annoying in this heat! I am going to get the tattoo for my dog done next week and also get my engagement ring resized finally.

I want to buy a necklace with my initial on it too. I saw a woman at the meetups who has one and I thought I wanted to buy that for myself. I might order that today or get it next week as we have to go Ernest Jones anyway.

hi been reading but not posted for a while. Just had a few days away with my Sister and Brother in Cumbria, we had fairly decent weather for the most part of it.

Hello Ladies,

The date with Charlie, did not happen, as he did not turn up. He did not phone me or text me with a reason or an apology, so that is the finish of us getting to know each other. He has shown me his true colours.  Obviously there are mature black men out there who think it is acceptable to behave like this, but I will not be treated in such a cavalier manner, so good riddance. 

I had a really good time dancing the night away in the pub, even though it was quite packed. There was a really great DJ and he had the crowd dancing all night. It should have finished at 2am, but they stretched it out to 2.20am as we were all having such a good time.   My arthritis was playing up, so I had to sit down and dance far too much. I even had to take 4 painkillers while I was in the pub, after both of my knees gave way when I was dancing. 

I had a really enjoyable evening at the Poetic Unity Open Mic event at Black Cultural Archives in Brixton on Friday evening. I performed 3 of my poems. I am working my way slowly through all of my poems every 2 weeks, but I have quite a lot of material to get through, so I have no worries about running out of poems. I got a couple of nice compliment about my performance form other poets as well.

I'm so pleased to hear you had a good night in spite of Charlie not turning up @sugarbaby. That does seem strange though as he's been in touch during the week, I believe. Surely, he can't have just forgotten??🤔

I know we had this conversation some time ago, but can anyone remember which retinol products were recommended? I'd like to improve some of my skin where the pores are too obvious and retinol seems to be what's suggested online. 

It's dull here today, hardly feels like summer at all. I might try to get out for a walk as my mood could do with lifting a bit and a bit of fresh air and exercise usually helps.

Maman he called me on Saturday just before 7pm to confirm that the date was still going ahead. He went on about how much he was looking forward to dancing with me and talking to me. So I just told Charlie that I would be leaving my home to get the bus at 10pm and I should arrive at the pub between 10.30pm to 11pm and Charlie replied that he would meet me in the pub by 11pm. So there was definitely not any way he forgot about the date or the time and place we were meeting.

@sugarbaby125 I'm glad you had good evenings both at the Poetry Unity event & dancing at the pub. I love reading about your creative work.
I wonder if something had happened to cause Charlie not to meet you & not get in touch?
