I went out last night to the supper meet up and it was very enjoyable. The food was lovely and it was nice to meet some new people as well as see some people I had met before.
I was very tired from moving the stuff around to take to the tip yesterday as well as pulling up weeds so I didn't stay out too late. I had a late night though as I couldn't sleep when I got home but I went out early this morning and bought a "new" dress and a top from a chazzer as well as a few toys for my dog.
It definitely feels like Autumn is drawing in to me.6 -
Hello Ladies,
On Friday evening I went to the pub and danced the night away. I had a really enjoyable evening. I had one man approach me to tell me that I was the best dancer in the pub. I thanked him for the lovely compliment. I then had another man approach me, to ask me if it was me he had seen on the quiz on television and I told him yes it was me on The Chase. I presume he had seen the repeat episode, as he said he had been waiting about a year to ask me. Then the 3rd man that approached me, asked me to dance with him. We got talking, we danced together throughout the rest of the evening, talked some more and exchanged telephone numbers.
His name is Charles, but he prefers to be called Charlie. He is 59 years old, tall and lean and a good dancer. He called me a couple of times yesterday and we talked some more. We will continue to talk and we have agreed to a date in the pub next Saturday.

sugar check you out with all the guys after you!!Wednesday pleased your evening out went well.
I’ve had lots going on recently. Many people at work are on holiday, so it’s been pretty quiet, but in a nice way. Things will pick up soon enough. So I’m just enjoying the quiet.
Yesterday, me and that children did a fun run at the Olympic park. It was lovely to run around the area that the Olympics were held 9 years before. DD was born during London 2012, so I always think back in that time in terms of DDs life.I finally got to wear my running leggings that I bought for my birthday 11 months ago - just goes to show how long it has been since I’ve exercised !! Definitely want exercise more. Plus I think DS needs it.
Today, we took the children into Central London as OH needed to run an errand. It’s the first time, since Lockdown that OH and that children have been (I work in Central London). We went to Covent Garden, Hamleys and Buck House. DS said that he wants to live in the West End when he gets older. I told him he would need to earn lots of money.6 -
Sugarbaby - Ooh that sounds interesting about the date!
Chanie - I went out to Greenwich yesterday with my brother and we were talking about the London Olympics.
I went to Honest Burger yesterday as I have read it has a great vegan burger, it was very nice but not the best vegan burger I've ever had.
We drank far too much afterwards at a few bars.

Sounds like you had a really great evening sugarbaby. It must have been such a morale boost to know you've not lost your touch during lockdown! 😁
Good to hear that you're getting out and about Wednesday.
It's fun being a tourist in your own town chanie. We've found lots of interesting bits and pieces on our many walks during the lockdown. It must be your DD's birthday quite soon. 🤔
It's overcast but really muggy here. I'm wearing one of my new sleeveless tops. We had rain during the night but it doesn't seem to have cleared the air at all.5 -
We went to Eltham Palace today. I wanted to get the children out of the house for a bit, but didn’t want to travel too far. As we have English Heritage membership, it didn’t cost us anything to go.
I wore a green maxi dress and red sandals, although it did start to spit. I’m back at work for the rest of the week, but only need to go into the office for 1 day.
I’m determined to go to to all the places we haven’t been able to go to over the past 18 months. I have some more annual leave coming up, so I have lots of ideas, but it is dependent on the weather.

Hello Ladies,
Thank you for your lovely comments.I am looking forward to my date with Charlie on Saturday. He wanted the date to take place on Friday evening, but I am busy on Friday evening, as I will be going to the Open Mic event at Black Cultural Archives.
Maman it is flattering if I am being pursued by the right type of man when I am in the pub, but I have always had to knock most of them back. Even when I was with Wayne and they all knew that, there were still men trying to chat me up, buy me drinks, talk to me and ask me out. I would just say politely with a smile, that I was taken and turn away from them.. Of course there have been some men that I would rather not \approach me or make a nuisance of themselves but that's just life.6 -
I don't think I ever went to Eltham Palace when I lived in south London.
I have lost 5 pounds since I had my dog put to sleep. I did want to lose weight but not really like this. I am eating, just not as much as normal. I think I will get his name tattooed next week.
My husband has next Friday off work and we will go and see a film and go for a meal too.
I have another local meetup tomorrow. I was going to wear a tunic top I bought from a chazzer with leggings and sandals, as long as it's not raining.

Eltham Palace is one of those places I've planned to go to and never got around to @chanie IIRC it's an excellent Art Deco example? Well done you for getting the children out and about.
While I'm not fearful of going out at all, I do seem to have partially lost the habit since all the lockdowns. I don't think twice about essential trips like the supermarket or dentist but when it comes to being spontaneously social or planning forward I don't feel very enthusiastic. It's almost as if I'd rather wait until things like travel are 100% back to normal, but that's just another way of putting things off and/or avoiding disappointment. I need to get out more!! 🤣
I have a dental appointment this afternoon, hygienist actually which I always think of as being partially cosmetic as teeth are so white and shiny afterwards. I'm going to make the effort and put a nice dress on rather than nip up there in my house clothes. It's a lovely, sunny day here.
That's bittersweet about the weightloss @Wednesday2000. I'm sure you're doing the right thing to keep getting out and about despite what's happened. Absolutely no movement at all on the sale of the house next door to me. Since the Stamp Duty holiday ended there's barely been a viewing. I don't think it's been sold as they keep cutting the grass and generally making sure it looks good. How's your house sale going🤔?
Have a great evening when your date with Charlie comes round @sugarbaby125. Are you going to the pub or out on your own somewhere? 🤔6 -
Maman - I assume the house sales are still going through. We paid for the searches this week. I thought that we would be getting more feedback from our estate agent but he says as far as he knows the woman still wants to buy our house. She did make her offer quite quickly and he said she has applied for a mortgage.
I had another dream about my dog that passed away last night. I was trying to hold him while I was on a speeding bus and I kept losing my grip of him.
It is strange me losing my appetite as that has never happened to me before after a stressful event in my life. I have lost 6 pounds now. I think I will eat out at the pub tonight as they have a vegan menu.
It doesn't look like it will rain so I will wear the outfit I planned to the meetup. I am meeting one of the women to walk our dogs one day as I said I would take care of her dog if she needed to go out one day. I want to make sure there is no fur flying when my dog meets her dog first!
Fabbing wise I did do a face pack last night and shaved my legs. I think I will do my nails red today as I'm wearing sandals tonight.2025 GOALS
